April 4, 2009: Cool and breezy outside, but full of warmth inside......

Yep......today was quite pretty outside here in the wooded hills outside of Washington, MO.....birds singing, a small lake visible through the naked trees, and signs of the grass becoming greener and a bit taller after several months of the cold winter. Attempting to have my late morning coffee....my third mug full.....outside on one of their decks at the rear of the home, I didn't remain long out there. It was just tooo breezy and cool to sit and enjoy the view, when I could move inside and enjoy it just as well with a wall full of windows stretching for two full floors plus.

Meghan, Ava, and Max.......all awoke about the same time this morning.....with the girls joining the 1st Lady and myself in bed.....and soon it was giggle time. The morning flew by....the girls playing, Max able to sit now, but not move around that much other than rolling from one spot to another........and lots of discussions going on inside their very large home.

The day progressed swiftly......and by late afternoon, Dr. Jeni and Meghan went with Darrel to the races in a neighboring town......a sport they all enjoy. Ava and Max are being watched this evening by the 1st Lady and myself.....and at the present time they both are sleeping quietly in their own rooms.

Myself??? I have spent the evening checking on flights to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, along with hotel packages for a week in November. My good friend's(from the USAF days) son is getting married there and we would like to attend.....not only to be there for the wedding but to explore that area and enjoy the marvelous beach there. The 1st Lady had spent part of the afternoon checking on flights, hotels, and ticket costs for 7 days in Disneyworld.....as we are considering and discussing going there the week prior to Christmas, also. Sooooo, you can see......our travel plans continue, even though we only arrived back in Misery four days ago from the three months in the RGV in Texas.

The day has disappeared quickly.......the kids have been great......and this huge house is now very quiet with the exception of the tellie, which the 1st Lady is watching....as we both keep our ears tuned to the two bedrooms where the little ones are sleeping(??). Tomorrow we will return to F'town......and get ready for very cold weather and snow showers/flurries.....DAMN!!!! I KNEW we were returning to Misery waaaaayyyyyyyy toooooooo soon!!!!

A chilly day but full of warmth inside the house......and, as always.......

LIFE IS JUST REALLY, REALLY GREAT!!!!!......And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!!
