Florida Trip Day 4: Stifling hot and humid.....horrible!!!

WHEW.....this day was a really hot, humid, and very steamy day......which made it perfectly horrible to be out and about today!!!!!!!! No air was moving around here.....and any time spent out by the pool became an endurance contest to see if it was possible to remain there at all. I really do dislike Florida when it is like this.....and can't really understand those who say they "get used to it", because my sagging hulk would never get used to THIS!!

I was up and finished with my morning rituals by 7:45......went over to the hotel lobby for breakfast...and then moved out by the pool, sitting under a patio umbrella....and before very long at all, I was picking up the newspapers and my coffee....and went back into the cool room we have. Just toooo damned hot to stay out there!!!

Sooooo, the morning was spent watching the girls in the pool and then returning to the room for a breath of fresh, cool air. By afternoon, Darrel had the Suburban back from having a new fuel pump installed......at a cost of $1000.00......UGH!!!!! By 4pm, we were on our way north to Lutz to see my cousin, Lynn, and have dinner with her and John.

Arriving within an hour, we were soooo excited to be together again.....the last couple of times have been at funerals....and so, this was a fun event for us. Her son Ryan and family who live close by came over and it was good to see him and meet his family. The last time I saw him was at a funeral....and not under the best of circumstances for him. We had a great time.....and many laughs were forthcoming as the evening progressed.

We had not been to their new home....and a gorgeous place it is......all 5000 sq. feet of it. Loved the layout, eveything on one floor, and the incredibly beautiful outdoor, under the roof patio with a wonderful beauty of a pool which is enclosed by a huge screen above to keep out the Florida insects. It is a wonderful floor plan.....just super!!!

We remained there until almost 9pm....and had such a great time. There is just never enough time together....never!!

Returning to St. Pete and the hotel, we will be leaving for the Florida Panhandle tomorrow morning......legal paper work has been overnighted to the Missouri department which handles these types of things....and so we could be heading back to Misery anytime......just have to wait for a call from the adoption agency saying everything is in order....and Max can leave the state.

Another wonderful day.......a super evening with a super cuz and family.....and without a doubt,......

LIFE IS REALLY GREAT!!!!!!...And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!
