Day 56: WHAT a day.......What a DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This WHAT A DAY began very, very early this morning....around 1am, when my cell phone rang and vibrated down in the dining area of THH....and I couldn't come to my senses for a few seconds....and then I rushed downstairs to see who was calling at this time of the NIGHT. It was our daughter, Dr. Jeni.....who was calling to tell us that the young lady whose baby-to-be was to be adopted by Dr. Jeni and Darrel.......was on the way....and would be born soon. Dr. Jeni and Darrel were going to fly immediately to St. Petersburg, Florida as soon as they could arrange for a flight. Soooo, we went back to bed....and to sleep as we began thinking about our plans for returning back to the stick and brick this morning. Then....around 2am, it ran again......and this time she told us that they would be on a 6am flight out of STL for Tampa......just a few hours from then. Soooo, back to bed we went again......

Their daughters, Meghan and Ava, were going to be watched by Darrell's mother and dad who just happened to be visiting there at the time.......until we could get THH back to our driveway and then repack and get to Dr. Jeni/Darrel's house to drive the two little ones to St. Pete. Soooo, we got up earlier than usual, got THH ready to roll and we were on the road by 8:15am.....heading home after 8 weeks exactly!!! BUT.....we now had to leave immediately for Florida...........We soon were phoned to say the baby had been delivered and was doing fine......a little black haired boy.....a GRANDSON!!!!!! The legalities of all of this would be completed in the next few days.......

We arrived home around noon.....and began the flight into action to unload THH after living in it for 8 weeks, cleaned the fridge after emptying it, and then I washed hurridly the front cap of THH to try to get as many of the dead, red-blooded bugs off as I could before the morning sun rises for the next two weeks would bake those bugs on there semi-permanently!!!!! All the time multi-tasking quickly and with my sagging hulk's perspiration rolling down my back and off of my nose and ear lobes....and everywhere as I moved faster than I have for some time trying to get things into the stick and brick and at the same time get things packed for two weeks in Florida!!!!! WOW......what a way to end 8 wonderful, fun-filled weeks......!!!

We finally were ready after being at the stick and brick for only two hours we had the car packed and locking the doors and turning on the burglar alarms, we head north to just west of STL to get Meghan and Ava. Arriving there about 2.5 hours later......we found things were not quite ready for us all to leave. Soooo, we worked around getting their Suburban cleaned out and ready....and as time went faster than we expected, we finally decided not to leave until early in the morning.......driving at late hours tonight is not what I am quite ready for after such early morning wake up calls!!!

And so....WHAT A DAY!!!!!!!!!!! I will post again tomorrow night....hopefully we will find Wifi at the hotel somewhere in the southeast part of this country.....Georgia, I presume. As always......

LIFE IS REALLY GREAT!!!!!.....And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!!
