Day 53: RAIN.....real rain!!

Well......the 1st Lady could barely wait until this morning to return to her Tai Chi class this morning before 7am!! And.......soon after she left, I was up and soon completed my morning rituals, had the French Roast coffee in my hand, and began to read the emails and online newspapers.

She returned around 8am.....and outside the drizzles continued for the remainder of the morning. We made a decision to run into Harlingen to catch a movie.....and it HAS been a long, long time since we went to view a current film. We had decided to see "Slumdog Millionaire"....and soon we were seated in this nice theater with stadium seating. By the time I returned from the popcorn stand with a large bag and some beverages, the movie was beginning......and WOW....WOW....WOW!!!! We really did enjoy this movie!!!!!! Being set in India......filmed in India.....and using actors/actresses from India.......this was the real deal! Both the 1st Lady and I left with great comments about the film!! Soooooo much to see in the film.....and with incredible film editing.....WOW! Our recommendations are very high for this film!

A quick stop at one of the larger grocery markets in Harlingen.....and soon we were back at the resort. Before very long, our little Cedar Creek group had gathered on our patio.....and with snacks, drinks, and lots to talk about, the Happy Hour quickly evolved into evening and darkness quickly enveloped us, along with a very brisk wind out of the north as a cold front began to move through this tip of Texas.

We broke up our little gathering when it became to dark to enjoy the evening, especially since we were beginning to get a bit chilly with the winds getting stronger. We made plans to grill tomorrow afternoon.....and quickly discussed the plans for the upcoming week.....with a Wed. afternoon gathering/meal at a friends's and the Friday morning Cedar Creek 3rd Annual RGV Breakfast. BUSY!!!!!

Inside, the television was soon turned on.......and I also began to download my pictures from my camera to the 1st Lady's computer as well as putting those pics on a CD. I CAN do that on my deathly ill laptop......I just can't get onto the internet, either through cable/modem or through wifi. At least we still have this laptop of the 1st Lady's to use for our communications and connections to the world!!!!!!!

And sooooo, with the real rains......a really hard rain while going over to Harlingen......and a relaxing day with a marvelous movie during the afternon, what more could I say other than......

LIFE IS REALLY, REALLY GREAT!!!!!......And, I hope it is for all of you, also(check pics of Block Party from yesterday...below)
