Day 43: What a marvelous, beautiful day!!!

Tai-Chi this morning for the 1st Lady......soooo, yep...you guessed it.....I found myself awake at 6am this morning when she got out of bed. WHAT an early start...again....for the day. She returned about 7:30......and we discussed how this day would progress, but who the hell really knows?

After coffee and a piece of her banana nut bread.......I went over to Pete/Jane's site and began bringing back to TheHowserHouse site my tables, gas grill, wine, and long outside table. The 1st Lady was soon off to do a bit of laundry........she needed some of the things that were in the dirty laundry basket for her upcoming trip back to Misery tomorrow.

We did go for a two mile or so bike ride within the resort......such a gorgeous day that we just couldn't remain inside......the humidity that had been blown in here from south of the border and the very strong winds were gone today.....HOORAY!!!! Lunch came quickly.......and then we decided during the early afternoon to play some tennis on the courts here in our section of the resort. The 1st Lady and I spent about 30 minutes on the court.......and this was the first time we had played in at least three years........UGH!!!! I seem to find my serve rather quickly, but I am just out of practice.....WAAAAYYYYYY out......in my quick running movements. Just totally out of shape for this type of sport!!!!!

A few neighbors dropped over this afternoon.....and soon, the 1st Lady and Jane, Doug and I were on our way to Ron Hoover RV to look at a Cedar Creek model that was new on their lot. And.....it is exactly the same model with most of the extras that Pete and Jane have purchased at an RV center close to Waco. It was good for Jane to see it and she was excited about it......REALLY excited. Pete had left for a quick run to Las Cruces, New Mexico, this morning....and will be gone for four days. He needed to exchange some RV furniture that was in his present CC and pick up the original furniture for the trade-in that he will be doing for his new 2009 CC in a couple of weeks.

This evening.....the 1st Lady and I went out for dinner........and while we have seen this tiny little restuarant not too far from here for the past two winters, we have never stopped there. It is only about 1.5 miles from the resort.....and we were REALLY surprised with the quality of the food and the wonderful service that was there. Name:?????? Cortino's......an Italian restaurant that is just really, really very good!!!! Not cheap, but not really expensive either......we both ate dinner and each enjoyed a glass of wine....and with tip, our bill was only $51.00!!! A really great price for what we received!!!! Just a wonderful little place that we will return to a few more times before we leave the RGV.

And so.....another day in the RGV has slipped away..........somehow, time just flows by faster here in the RGV than any place we have visited!!!! Some type of time warp going on here, I do believe. Tomorrow is an early, early morning with the alarm set to sound at about 4:15 AM in the morning. She must be at the airport by 5:30AM........UGH!!!!

However,..........this day like soooooo many that have come before it makes me more than certain that.......

LIFE IS JUST REALLY, REALLY GREAT!!!!!.....And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!
