OK....another EARLY awakening by the 1st Lady's alarm clock....around 6:30AM! UGH....UGH!!! And so, without any struggle she was up and going and by 6:45, she was out the door and on her way to the Rec Hall. The reason???? Her 7AM class of Tai Chi........which lasts an hour and is quite a popular class for many of the rver's here in the Resort.
I climbed out of bed with much less energy than she did (perhaps I should also take Tai Chi???), took care of my morning rituals, turned on the coffee maker, and then began to read the morning online newspapers. She returned a few minutes after 8AM....and had a quick cup of hot tea....and soon was off to the gym for her Line Dance class.
I went outside and only one step out of the door and I realized this was a really unique and rare day: crisp without any humidity, without any wind, and a sun that I could just tell was going to warm up the RGV very soon. And.......so it did as there was not one wisp of a cloud in the sky, and it remained that way ALL day long!! OMG....what can I say??? It was simply the most perfect day that we have had for quite some time........absolutely perfect!!!!
I visited with Pete for a while...and we made discussed getting all of the Cedar Creek RV Owners Club members who are here in the RGV together this week. With the possibility that some were going to the dog races tomorrow in Harlingen, I got on the phone and checked with John and Laverne about getting together for Happy Hour on Thursday afternoon.....which they could make. I then called Liz and Lynn and left a message, then left a note on Doug and Janet's rv door across the street about the Happy Hour. I will call both of them again tomorrow to double check to see if they received my messages.
The 1st Lady returned around noon from her Line Dance class.....and soon we were off to Tropic Star for our square dance lessons, but......not without having visited first with our next door neighbors who are from Ontario. We had a great little visit with them....before we left to go to Tropic Star.
After two very full hours of lessons........we stopped at a Bakery on HWY 281 south in Pharr....and picked up some pastries to bring home with us. From there we went to Casa Del Solle to visit with a friends from F'town..........
Doyle and Alma have been here since the middle of December and it was really good to see both of them!!!!! Alma and the 1st Lady are Beta Sigma Phi Sorority sisters at home....and so with the socials which the sorority has, we do find ourselves together quite often!!! We had just a super GREAT time at their RV site.......talking and having a few drinks for over two hours. We then left for a "mom and pop" cafe in Mission.....a wonderful Mexican restaurant.....and WOW!!! The food was terrific!!!!! I just loved the refried beans......probably the best I have had down here!!!
The afternoon and evening visit, along with being their guest for dinner at the restaurant, was a wonderful, wonderful time!!!!!!
With this visit, with this perfect day of weather.......this day has really accented the fact that.........
LIFE IS REALLY, REALLY GREAT!!!!!!......And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!!
