Thank you for your responce..
I will contact my mother (she is Icelandic) in the morning and ask her for more information. The names John, James and William are in my father family and it would be a real pleasure if there was a connection , even a slight one and way back in time. Alas you did not see much of the country on your stopover as the airport is on a peninsula on the southwest and most barren part of the land. There is much to see if you like wild open country and unspoiled nature. My e-mail is howser@internet.is (but of course) and it would be a pleasure to receive a note from you if we continue this research. Please excuse my spelling(mutilation) of the english language, for me it is the second language after Icelandic.
Thank you again for answering my note.
Cincerely Hjörtur Howser
PS. the blog you posted your comment by - on my page - is a reminder to the public that the most successful comedy show of 2007, a 60th birthday celebration of Icelands most beloved stand-up comic/actor, is still going strong. The show sold out 81 evenings in an 8 month strech, for 45.000 patrons. I am proud to be the musical director for this very entertaining jubelee show.
