A hectic pace today...

Oh Yeah......it sure was!!! Up and going without the usual leisurely Fr. Roast coffee.....it was downed in a hurry this morning. Took longer than planned to get away.....can't quite put my finger on exactly why, but it was after 10 when we drove out of town and headed north to the city.

Only had an hour to look for some new furniture/appliances before we had to pick up Rachel and all of us then went on out to the Moser Estate for the BIG birthday bash for Meghan. Every child in her Kindergarten class was invited, however probably only about half actually came to the party. BUT......that was quite a few 5 and 6 year olds racing thru the house at the beginning of the two hour celebration.

Dr. Jeni had hired a professional magician to entertain the kids at the party......and what a fabulous job he did. He seems to be well known over the entire state, having entertained at the Governor's Mansion for the Gov. and guests, as well as over in Kansas City and throughout the state. And...quite frankly....he was really good and very enjoyable. He oftentimes does his tricks at adult parties......and I can well imagine some of the props he must use.....hahaha!!! The kids were really good during the 1.5 hours he worked with them, using some of them for his "assistants" on certain tricks. He even pulled out two live doves from a balloon....which of course the kids' mouths dropped open when they saw this! Then he let each kid pet the birds and Meghan got to let one of them sit on her hand/arm.

Soooo, by the time this bash was over, the large house was a mess of paper, ribbon, and paper plates and cups and napkins. A quick cleanup was in order and then we just spent the rest of the evening reviewing the pics I took and letting Rachel and Meghan play with all of the new toys and games.

Tomorrow, the 1st Lady and I will return to the city and some more looking and planning for the house. A trying time.......certainly it is FAR from relaxing and enjoying just shopping!!!!! But, we can do that this coming weekend when we go up to Chicago for two days.

Sooooo, with frost settling down on everything ( I just brought in the overnight bag from the car), I will close this little post, and as always.....

Life is Great......and I hope for all of you, also!!!
