OK.....the morning rituals were not done yet when the 1st Lady left at 7:30am for the Laundromat here in this section of the resort. There are three laundromats here in the resort, but the one in this section is the closest, obviously. After checking the camera on the closed circuit tv here in the resort, she saw that there was only one person in the laundromat at this time, so off she went.....before many had even got out bed!
She ran back to the RV after getting them going, had her cup of tea, her fresh grapefruit, and some cereal.....and back she went to put them in the dryer. By this time.....the place was FULL of others attempting to do their laundry.
When she returned, we decided to make a quick trip over the border to get some of the low priced liquor.....and a few meds for her mother. Soooo, after another cup of coffee for myself, I went over to see if Pete and Jane wanted to go with us.......they did......and then checked with Buzz and Moe, but he wasn't feeling very good, so they declined.
We left a bit after 11am.........and two hours later we were crossing the border back into the states. However, while we were over Nuevo Progreso, we did some shopping, albeit quickly. The 1st Lady purchased the meds she needed in the first shop she stopped in....a VERY good price......and got several bottles of pills. Then Jane and the 1st Lady did some more shopping along the street......and the 1st Lady stopped a guy who makes bracelets with names on them, and had a couple of them made. The remaining time was spent in going through a couple of other shops, purchased some small pieces of pottery, some more of those incredible cookies, and a bottle of DiSarrono Amaretto. We were all soon back across the bridge over the Rio Grande....then through passport control, customs, and the office where we have to pay $1.25 per bottle of Texas state taxes.
A quick trip to WalMart on the way back to the resort found all four of us "fighting" hordes of people inside the SuperCenter......UGH!!!! With sooooo many more here than over in Nuevo Progreso.....we were not "happy campers" with the long lines to check out! But......we were back at Llano Grande before too much longer.......and then.....
We realized that the winds were stronger than ever......much stronger than this morning....and everything was really getting pushed around. Thankfully, I had folded up all of my patio chairs and tables......as they would have more than likely been across the street. SOOOOOOO windy and SOOOOOOO strong!!!!! Really bad!!!!! It is almost 10pm and they have not abated as yet......quite a bit different than usual when the winds die away as the sun sets in the west.
This evening...... we had some lasagna for dinner......and then watched a movie on the tellie. And....the winds are still roaring outside!!! This day.....as soooo many of them for us....has really been varied AND busy. As I look above....the is the 40th day that we have been gone from Misery......and it seems like about one week. Each day is going by in a big blur.....and all too soon it will be time to leave here....DAMN!!!! NOT ready for that....... however.......
LIFE IS REALLY, REALLY GREAT!!!!!....And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!1
