A "Sitting" type Sunday....

Ahhhh......the work of grandparents never ends!!!! Dr. Jeni and Darrel and joined by Jeremy went to visit Mike this morning.....returning around 2:30pm. Soooo, guess who did the baby/child sitting???? Yep.....you guessed it....as if you couldn't tell. It was very enjoyable but very little down time to read the Sunday paper on the patio with my caffeine.......so bit it. Ava is no problem......a very happy little girl who loves to smile and giggle when she thinks she has seen something of interest. Now.....Meghan....well she is pretty high maintenance most of the time, however, today she spent several hours on the computer playing some games and, amazingly.......working on her elementary Spanish!!!! And, she is doing quite well for five years old. Of course that is the very BEST age to learn another language.

Dinner was around 3pm........a full Sunday fried chicken dinner....something that we haven't had for a LONG time....fried chicken that is. Toooooo many calories and tooooo much cholesterol!

Jeremy left around 5pm for Evansville, IN. We have been deluged with phone calls to see if he was OK.....and to see just where he was since his phone battery was down and no one could reach him. Actually.....we had calls from all across the country....literally...!

Dr. Jeni and family left around 6:30pm to return to the Moser Estate. Not certain when we will see them again......our schedules for this month just don't overlap toooo well.

WOW........I watched the History Channel tonight to see the 1st part of the "Crusades"!!!! Soooooo good.....and sooooo historically accurate. I followed the story line in a chapter in one of the volumes of Will Durant's "The Story of Civilization". This is a marvelous set of books that is written in such detail about the history and the cultures from the beginning history upto the middle of the last century. It is one of my prized set of books......and one that I certainly didn't donate to the local Library.

Now.....to clean up TheHowserHouse for another incoming guest from Omaha tomorrow. Really looking forward to catching up after God-only-knows how many years it has been since we had some time together. Sure hope my aging body doesn't frighten him toooo much........!!

Soooo, Life is Good......and I hope for all of you, also!!
