Day 40: Playing catch-up with Day 39......

OMG.......for some damn reason I was totally....110% exhausted yesterday, late afternoon and the rest of my waking hours!!!! Soooooo, I put myself into my wonderful horizontal position upstairs in the king-sized bed by 8:30......and disappeared from consciousness...QUICKLY!!! And.....I slept very soundly from about 60 seconds after I fell asleep until this morning.......so soundly that I didn't even hear the 1st Lady gathering together the dirty laundry before she came to bed....right out of the closet......WOW....I was OUT!!! This morning.....hmmmm, I guess I slept so long that this morning I have a sleep hangover.....a headache! Missed my early morning Fr Roast coffee, so now I am attempting to recover.....

Yesterday: A pleasant morning.....weather was another incredible day, soft breezes, upper 70's temperature and bright sunshine....enough so that while I was sitting on the patio over and Ken and Jeanne's, I picked up a bit of tooo much of that bright sunshine, and now my face is red.....again!

I had a great visit with Ken yesterday morning.....as we had many laughs and a bit of a discussion on politics and our own views of things. With good friends, that is one topic that I steer away from in any detail.......I value my friends and THEIR positions and views way toooooo much to take a stance and fortify that stance.....hahaha!!! Life is TOOOO short for that kind of crap!
We did make plans to go to Pepe's on the River today......as Ken and Jeanne are pulling out this weekend.......DAMN!!! I sure hate that!

Soooo, after a bite of lunch yesterday, the 1st Lady and I took care of some errands...post office, etc., ...and then drove west to the McAllen shopping area. Again......shoppping and looking at things, including spending toooooooo short of a time at Barne & Noble....LOVE that place!!!

Later, we ate at .......oh CRAP....I can' remember the name of the Texas steakhouse we ate at!!! DAMN.....need more Fr. Roast to catch up!!! We had eaten there earlier in January with Danny and Donna and really loved the "Road Kill" on the menu: Chopped steak, loaded baked or sweet potatoes, salad.....a total of two sides included. VERY good, once again. They have their recipe down pat, I guess!!!!

Returned to TheHowserHouse....and I was like a damned zombie.....sooooo tired and mentally out of it, soooo after "Survivor"....I headed upstairs and as I said above........disappeared from reality quickly...........

More on TODAY.....later.....

LIFE IS REALLY GREAT.....And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!
