Hmmmmm.......this morning....well, it wasn't long after I made the First installment post and published it, TheHowserHouse began to rock and roll........without music! The winds became stronger and more frequent gusts.....and soon, I thought we would have to take some vertigo meds!!! Soooo, we decided to take care of a few things on our "To Do List"........
We left TheHowserHouse and made a brief stop at the Main Office of the resort. As usual, everyone there was busy with other rvers who had a small problem or some other reason.....and so, we decided to return on Monday when the "regulars" would be working. I am interested in staying another two weeks....until March 15th, IF....there is not a problem getting a site here in the North Section, OR....just remaining here where we are.
Then......we went over to the Don-Wes Fruit and Veggie Market........EGADS!!!!! MORE people than in Progreso yesterday!!!! We pushed and waited, and pushed and waited to move up the two aisles, not to mention attempting to peer over shoulders or around all of the Winter Texans that were also trying to see all of the beautiful "goodies" that were in the stalls waiting to be felt, pinched, caressed, eye-balled, smelled, tasted, etc., etc. as everyone wanted to make some purchases of these great tasting fresh fruits and veggies. And......so we did, finally.
From there we went to Casa Del Sol for our two hour square dancing lesson. OMG.......with 72 dancers and others sitting around observing us....this UN-air conditioned hall was steaming with sweaty bodies of the fast moving senior citizens! It was GREAT to see Diane and Doug, Kathy and Charlie there.........and, OMG!!!!! In one of the squares, we were all introducing ourselves and there standing next to the 1st Lady and myself were to Cedar Creek RV Owners Club members.....the two newest ones and the same people I had talked with earlier this week by phone to invite them to the Cedar Creek Breakfast that I have organized for Monday morning. Lynn and Liz were assisted by members Harold and Linda when their truck broke down.....and then Harold let me know they were headed this way so that we could meet down here. IT IS A SMALL WORLD!!!!
Well.....two hours of whirling and twirling and panting and puffing and getting hotter and hotter.....and when we were finished, the 1st Lady and went back to Weslaco to look for her some clothing for our "official graduation" from the Beginning Level of square dancing!!!! There are many levels of sq. dancing....and each one becomes more difficult.....until I am certain that the "fun" part of the dancing becomes lost in the search and effort of PERFECTION. And......that is NOT where I want to go!!!!!! This is waaayyyyyy toooooo much fun to get THAT involved in the perfected competitions.....UGH, UGH, UGH!!!!
Leaving one of the stores, we decided to eat at "Fat Daddy's"!!!! WOW...WOW...WOW.......what a great sandwich with potato salad I had!!!!! The chopped/pulled pork sandwich is sooooo huge....sure it weighs over a pound.....and sooo juicy and soooo mouth-watering.....and OH SO GOOD!!! Loved the potato salad......made just the way I like it!
Returning to the Resort, I decided to install the clothes drying expandable rack that we had just purchased over at Casa Del Sol. Been trying to get one for several days and finally caught the seller at his motorhome. The printed instructions are NOT the best, NOT the clearest, so I jumped on my bike and rode over to Danny and Donna's to check out theirs.....and then returned and managed to get my installed. NOW....let's see if holds up a bunch of wet towels!!!
Tonight???? Well, we talked with Dr. Jeni......she, Darrel, Meghan, and Ava....all just returned to Misery after a week on a cruise. They left out of New Orleans so they got to see brother Jeremy who is living in N.O. with his current job. Think they enjoyed it.....THINK....it the key word. Seems it was fairly rough on the open seas, not to mention very cool weather, so not sure it was just exactly what they had hoped for in the way of a family cruise. They had only been back in Misery for 10 days from their four day skiing trip to Breckenridge, CO.....and that they DID enjoy!!!
And so, my good friends.......the second installment is complete!!! It has been a very good day.....the shoulder/arm has been better...THANK GOD!!!! Yesterday .....well, it was HELL during the afternoon and evening!!!! I feel certain it is the rotator cup......or whatever that is called.......sure does hurt in the upper arm/muscles!!!! Perhaps a steroid shot????? Hmmmm.....that seems to be a good suggestion from Diane!! Thanks, good friend!
Tomorrow Pete, Jane, and Jack(their Golden Retriever) will arrive and be here for the week. Sooo, it will be a very busy week with the Cedar Creek Breakfast on Monday, more dancing on several days, a trip to Mexico, a trip to Pepe's on the River, and other places of fun!! WOW.....am I getting tire already? Hahaha.....hell no!!! Just sounds like great fun!!!! WOW.....it has been fun today.......and it just makes me even more certain that, as usual for me.....
LIFE IS REALLY, REALLY GREAT!!!!!!.......And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!!
