Day 55: The days just seem to get busier and busier!!!

WOW......up at 7am this morning.....French Roast coffee soon was brewing.....and a few online newspapers skimmed. Then I awakened the 1st Lady.....and I jumped into the shower for the morning rituals.....to be done quickly! We were supposed to leave the resort at 9AM........

I grabbed a quick bowl of cereal and soon the 1st Lady and I were on our way to Casa Del Sol for the "Graduation" of our square dance class!. Yep......we danced in the very humid and hot room for almost two hours....and then we were presented our "Bachelor of Square Dancing".......hahaha!!! WOW....another wonderful and to-be-cherished certificate to be framed and and hung on the wall(?). It was fun......and many of the ladies in the class were wearing the traditional square dance dresses....with all of the extras. The dancing was great.......but way toooo hot in this large hall for any real enjoyment.

At noon, the 1st Lady and I drove back to the resort quickly to change into cooler clothes......and then we drove quickly back to McAllen to Mr. Gatti's Pizza.......and OMG...the place was crammed with people and students and young kids. This place was a madhouse..........but, we did have a room reserved for our class, and so we finally got through the lines and seated ourselves with the others. Lots of fun......lots of laughter.....and a great time was had by everyone there.

We made plans for the coming week: On Tuesday we will be taking a cruise up the Rio Grande for a couple of hours with the gang of friends from the sq. dancing classe.......Thursday: we will be going across the bridge at Hidalgo over into Mexico and the city of Reynosa for an annual celebration of the close connection of the two cities spanning the border.....and there will be square dancing in the square of Reynosa and special ceremonies on the bridge spanning the Rio Grande......sounds like great fun!!!!

We returned to TheHowserHouse by mid-afternoon, laid around and relaxed....and I even took a small "power" nap. Now, I know.....this doesn't seem to look like we were very busy, but the afternoon was about the only time we had any "free" time to just kick back with not anything pressing.

It wasn't too long before Pete and Jane called........in fact, I had just pulled out my phone to give them a call. We decided to have a few drinks...."Happy Hour"....over here and spend some time just talking about the day's events. And.......

So we did. We had a great time just sitting outside in the warm, breezy weather.....sipping some wine.....and talking a mile a minute. It was a fun two hours.......but all toooooo soon, it was time for them to return to their Cedar Creek.....as they had to prepare for the RV for departure in the morning.......their return trip to Las Cruces, New Mexico. This has been a wonderfu week with Pete and Jane here in the resort with us!!!!!! Sooooo much fun........sooooo many laughs.....and just a great time for all of us just being together. We REALLY do hate so see them leave and return home!!!!!!! We will be together again at the National Cedar Creek RV Owners Club Rally in June.....in Shipshewanna, Indiana.

And soooooo.......another day in Life has slipped by........ As always.....and you know that.......

LIFE IS REALLY GREAT!!!!!......And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!
