Day 48: Catch-up installment....

Just a brief note to bring this up-to-date: Yesterday was another windy day, cloudy, and then some sun.....sort of a typical day in the Valley with temps in the 80's.

We went over to Mexico around noon......priority #1: to purchase a Talavera pot for the front porch of the mother of the 1st Lady. Talavera??? It is the brightly colored, glazed pottery of all kinds that is made in Mexico.....and in many cases, is really quite nice. "All kinds"??? Dishes, glasses, pots, bowls, serving dishes, decorative pieces for walls, tables, etc., etc., etc......."all kinds"!!!

#2: To pick up some liquor for Margaritas.......Cointreau, Grand Marnier, etc., etc......and don't be upset with the spellings....I have not yet had my Fr. Roast cup of coffee.....it is brewing as I write/speak. Plus, nothing I type this morning is doing well......must have had a stroke during the night.....haha!!

Then...as the afternoon wore down yesterday, my right shoulder/arm began to scream out in intense pain....enough that I just wanted to get back to TheHowserHouse and find a comfortable position in which to lay or sit. Think it was because I was wearing the small day-pack on my back/shoulders.....plus carrying that damn pot around as we walked through the hordes of Winter Texans which made carrying anything quite a task.......it was almost impossible to get through the crowds!!! Anyway........it was not a pleasant afternoon for this sagging hulk of me.

Crossing the border took longer because we had purchased four bottles of liquor......and so, I had to go through the taxing office once we crossed into the states, then go through the taxing station for the state of Texas, not to mention the regular immigration control with passport which was taking longer yesterday as several people.....dumb-asses that they were.....did not have a passport nor two forms of ID including their birth certificates. WHEN will people wake up and realize that everyone NEEDS to have a passport, no matter if you plan to leave the states or not!!!!????!!!!! DAMN!!!

Home again....I just laid around, trying to get comfortable....and hoping the pain pills would take affect quickly. NOT to happen!!!!.....so, the entire evening was spent in flopping around like a injured, beached whale going from chairs to sofa to floor to pile of pillows and then reversing this procedure. Oh well..........guess my body is just telling me that my BD is getting closer and 65 will probably be the BD that I do not want to face!!!???

More later........today is very windy with strong storms, rain, hail, and HEAVY WINDS forecast! High: 90 degress forecast.....and it is already 78 degrees at 7am!!!

LIFE IS GREAT!!!!!!.....(even with shoulder pain)......And, I hope Life is Great for all of you, also!!!!
