Up this morning at the regular time.........albeit a bit tired since for some reason I didn't go to my horizontal position until 1am! I was reading some material online....and the lateness just crept up on me and when the words began to blur.....I knew I needed to shut it down and go upstairs.
After my Fr Roast coffee this morning........I took care of my routine maintenance of myself....and then, the 1st Lady left for WalMart to shop and to also get her hair trimmed. The morning was warm......very, very windy.....and bright sunshine. It was another one of those relaxing days........I had planned to wash the truck, but the warm winds were so strong that I knew the hard water would dry on the finish before I could hand-dry it, so I just decided to wait another day.
I did some reading this afternoon........took a short power nap........and before long, it was time to get ready for the Valentine's Dinner and Dance that we purchased tickets to a few weeks ago. We picked up Ron and Linda.....and then joined Danny/Donna and Nancy/Doyne at our reserved table where we enjoyed a few drinks, some chocolate-covered strawberries that Linda made for us to consume......and soon dinner was served.
Dinner??? Well, it was adequate.......and that is about the most I can say for it. Edible.....perhaps is another term that I can use for the quality of the food........just not what I would pay for again.
The Dance? We all had fun!!!! Our table of eight was filled with three other couples that we have become acquainted with over the past few weeks......and that we have been square dancing with since early January........very good friends!!! And........the evening was one of talk, laughs, dancing, and a few drinks.
And so.....another gorgeous day has passed.......the time we have left here in the RGV is becoming smaller......and we are beginning to think and discuss remaining here for the first two weeks of March....IF, we can get a site. I need to check on that tomorrow..... And.......as always.....
LIFE IS REALLY GREAT!!!!!.....And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!
