Day 47, Feb 16, 2010: A really busy day.....!!!!

WOW......the cold temps that were forecast didn't last long, or...didn't even get that low as when I pulled myself up and into the vertical position, I came downstairs and it was only 44 degrees!!! We had left the water dripping in both sinks, just as we did last month.....so that there would be movement of the fresh water going through the hose connecting the water at the outlet for us to the RV.....and we have never had a problem by just letting it drip all night. But.....we didn't need it last night. I had also turned on my holding tank heaters.....which heats up the liquids in those tanks so they will not freeze when it dips below freezing for a few hours.

I went over to Doug's motorcoach to see if I could assist him in getting some of his outdoor chairs and tables carried over to our place as he had to take his coach to Camping World for some assistance with his refridge/freezer which has quit working. They will have to stay there in the parking area tonight......so, they only left their bbq grill and satellite dish at their site, moving all of their outdoor furniture and bikes over to our site. I helped carry a couple of things over here....and then we quickly left for the morning sq dance over on the west side of the RGV.

It was the one dance of the area where there is virtually no time between each dance.....sooo, for two hours we did not sit down, but just kept dancing with one 7 minute break for a dash to the restroom....WHEW!!!!! But.....we had a great square with great friends.....and we had another blast this morning!!!! Soooo much fun!!!!!

Afterwards we went further west to Camping World and picked up Doug/Diane.....and we all went to the Olive Garden for lunch. They serve such a delicious lunch for $6.99, an "all you can eat" lunch of salad, choice of soups, and those incredible bread sticks!!!!! We had a great server and as always.....the food was just wonderful!!!!!! LOVE THOSE BREAD STICKS!!!!!!!!!

Following that great lunch, we decided to look around at a couple of furniture stores.....not needing anything, but just to look and get some ideas for decorating. We spent quite a bit of time at "Rooms To Go"......a great concept and always an interesting store to spend some time in!!!

After that we returned to their motorcoach at Camping World and spent several hours playing Canasta and Sequence, as well as watching the beginning of the evening's Olympic games. Always tons of fun when we are together.....and it was that way this evening!!!! We began to do some initial planning abour our trip to Edmonton/Calgary and then on to British Columbia to their condo for the first week in June. We will fly up there and then make the several hours trip by auto to the area in the mountains where there condo is located......such fun it will be!!!!

We returned to the resort and TheHowserHouse a bit after 8pm this evening....and have been totally engaged in the Olympics......particularly the figure skating!!! I really enjoy the synch between the music and the skater's choreography....and some of them are just amazing!!!!!!!

A busy day....as I said above......not much down time, as we are strong competitors in our Canasta and Sequence games........so, the mental pressure is always on when the four of us are together....guys vs. girls!!! Tomorrow.......hmmmm, we will see how the morning goes......

I am trying to reach some of our friends here in the RGV as a group of us are going out to Pepe's on the River.....a bar/grill along the Rio Grande River.....right on the river and often the Border Patrol come in by boat to eat there. Always a fun place with live music and good beer!!!! We will be going after the morning sq dance, so we will be leaving for Pepe's at noon......come join us!!!!!! Everyone is invited!!!!!!!!!! Always more fun when there are lots of people there!

And soooo.....a great day!!!!....and, as always.......

LIFE IS REALLY, REALLY GREAT!!!!!!!.....And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!!!
