Day 43, Feb 12, 2010: Bright sky, Bright sun, cool temps....all made just to celebrate a Birthday!!!!

Up and going at the normal time.....morning rituals, breakfast, and soon we picked up Doug/Diane and were on our way to Casa del Valle for the Friday morning dance. And.....today was a special day for all of us........the day to celebrate Pat's birthday.....now fondly known as the Medicare Girl!!!!

Several of our gang brought BD cards to her at the square dance this morning........and, in the middle of the morning, the Caller, Wiley.....called her and any others up to the stage so that the almost 200 people could sing Happy Birthday to all of them. Pat......not one for enjoying the limelight.....found herself up there reaping the rewards of having a BD.....and we were all glad she could take the stage.

Afterwards........6 couples of us went to the Texas Roadhouse for a late lunch....to celebrate her birthday!!!!! Again......we all sang to her, as well as many others in the restaurant!!!! It was a great time.....for Pat and for us, as we all soooo enjoy being together!!!!

Afterwards, we four returned to Llano Grande RV Resort for a lazy afternoon.....made even lazier by having eaten soooooo damn much at lunch. The food was terrific....the service was great.....and I even complimented the server about the quality of their coffee........not something I normally can do in a chain restaurant!!! The 1st Lady and I both had their "Road Kill".....not an appetizing name, but a wondeerful hamburger steak smothered in onions, delicious mushrooms, and cheese, accompanied by a very, very fresh salad which was really good, and a huge baked potato. A GREAT meal all for $7.99 plus the drinks!!!!!! Can't beat that!!!!

Later this evening we went over to Doug and Diane's motorhome to watch the Opening Ceremonies of the Winter Olympics in Vancouver. A great opening........albeit the tragic death of the young many from the country of Georgia who had a fatal luge accident in the practice run. KD Lang was one of the musical performers during the evening......and, OMG....she was absolutely fabulous!!!!!! Just beautiful.....WOW...WOW!!!!!!!

And so, a great day.......a great day to celebrate Pat's birthday......and a great opening for the Olympics!!!!! As always.......

LIFE IS JUST REALLY REALLY GREAT!!!!!!.....And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!!!!
