Hmmmm.......getting out of bed this morning, it was foggy, gray, dismal, dreary......and it was all of those at the same time. We had decided to go to a square dance this morning and so we rode over to Pharr to the rv park with Doug/Diane. It was a good two hours.....not outstanding, but it was fun. This caller was a bit slower with the calls which kept the pace of the entire morning a bit slower. Each caller has his own style......just as a band director/teacher has his own style of conducting/teaching. And this one....well, a good caller he was, but just felt that he was a bit less exciting as a caller.
On the way back to the resort, we decided to have lunch at Mingo's in Mercedes. And, as it always is......the choice was great!!!! Very good food....Mexican....and the prices for such a large quantity of food are soooooo low!!! The 1st Lady and I had two different plates of food and they were both huge amounts, as well as drinks.....and our total cost was $10.53!!!! Unbelievable!!
Returning to TheHowserHouse, the 1st Lady and I just sort of kicked back and relaxed, did some bill paying....and about 3pm we decided to go look for some accessories for the dresses she has purchased for the wedding events. After almost four hours, we returned with two pairs of shoes, some Valentine's gifts for the grandkids.....and she also had her hair cut. Soooo, it was a productive afternoon of shopping!!!!
This evening has been varied......a few people/friends dropped by, althought not all together. Sooo, just when I thought I could join in on a conference call with the planning committee for the reunion, I had to put that aside for visitors here in TheHowserHouse. I will touch base with Goldie tomorrow.....sometime. Sure he has some questions....and I know he wants to talk about the schedule for the reunion.....and I will be happy to have some input into that!!!
And soooo....an easy, laid back day with some dreary weather.....a good time to be laid back...eh??? Tomorrow.......off to the outlet mall a few miles up the road to get some more items for the upcoming wedding in Mobile, Alabama!!!! It is just a few week away......WOW!!!!
