Friday: A relaxing day with a great dinner in the evening....

Another, YES.....another gorgeous day here in Illinois!!!!! However......the 1st Lady awoke not feeling well at all......feverish, sinus headache, sore throat, etc., etc. You get the picture because I am sure you have felt the same way.....and so, she remained in bed for a much longer time than she usually does. And.....when she did get up, she then just moved to the sofa in the living room and stayed there for most of the day.......

I just sort of tip-toed around......can that really be done in an RV??.....and tried to stay out of her way and keep quiet. About mid-morning, I made a run to a Walgreen's to get her some OTC meds to try to dry up her sinus problems.

For most of the day, she just laid around, snoozing and then having some hot soup....and then sleeping again. ME???? I just wandered around.....did some things outside in the basement, and then have some fun conversations with others from the Rally group who, also, were "wandering around".

By late afternoon, she was feeling a bit better and we took a walk around the cg......and over to the RV Sales Office to see what, or if, they had for sale that we might be able to use in the RV. Did purchase a towel rack that hangs on the door.....and then returned to TheHowserHouse.

The 1st Lady did feel good enough to join everyone as we left for dinner at Lake Point Grill......a really nice contemporary restaurant where we had reservations for dinner. Problem??? Yep......it took them toooooo damn long to get the food served!!! I just do not think that they were prepared to feed that many people all at one time, along with two other rooms full of diners on a Friday night.

I ordered the Seafood Pasta and I must say that when I FINALLY received it, it was just really, really good!!!! HUGE scallops, some shrimp, and some really great seasoned pasta with tomatoes and asparagus chopped and mixed in with the seafood and pasta. The asparagus was just the way I like it.......hot and crispy, but NOT mushy, thank goodness!!! I also had two glasses of a Pinot Noir which was quite crisp and had a great finish......loved it!!

Returning to TheHowserHouse....we just kicked back and relaxed......(again). Tomorrow, we must leave here no later than 7am for STL in just the truck.....as we have a wedding at 10AM in Manchester.....a suburb of STL on the west/southwest side of the city. And then.....we will return to Springfield immediately afterwards, as we are not leaving here until Monday morning.

Sooooo, this day was quiet, relaxing.....and.........as always,

LIFE IS REALLY, REALLY GREAT!!!!!.....And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!

Politics is like driving a car: Put the car in "R" and you go backward; put the car in "D' and you go forward! And we definitely need to get this country going forward!!!!
