For some strange reason, I found myself awake and just could not return to sleep even though it appeared to be very dark outside. I laid there for some time....and then as it began to become lighter outside, I quietly got out of bed, slipped downstairs, and got the Fr. Roast coffee going.
Opening the shades, yep......it looked like it was going to be another very pretty day.....so, remaining as quiet as I could, I poured my coffee, closed the door into the den, started the fireplace...and then enjoyed my steaming dark and rich coffee as I read the online newspapers. I always check the Washington DC Post for any Inaugural news, Metro closings, security checkpoints, etc., etc, as the date for my trip to D.C. inches closer.
The 1st Lady was up by 8....and getting ready to go to her Line Dance Class. I puttered around inside.....washing the glass in the French door leading into the den, did all of the mirrors in the bedroom/bath....and just generally put things into order.
After she returned we had a light lunch.....and then left for Tropic Star RV Park where we danced from 1pm until 3pm. Following that, we dashed down the highway to go to Winter Ranch RV Park for another hour's lesson from 3:30pm until .....well, it lasted until 5pm! Sooooo, it was a full afternoon of squared dancing lessons!!!!!! From Winter Ranch we went to the closest Walmart store to pick up a few items.....some small necessary items in the personal hygiene area for my trip to D.C........since I will use only carry-on luggage, I cannot take the normal sized deodrant, etc., etc.
Returning to TheHowserHouse around 6:15pm........we heated up some soups for our evening meal. Pete dropped by with an RV item for closing the dump opening......so it wouldn't leak, as it is doing now. Then the evening has disappeared quickly as we watch a bit of the tellie....and I did some research on my upcoming journey so that I would know what to expect at the San Antonio airport, as well as the Philadelphia International.....and then the commuter train into Philly to catch my Amtrak train down to D.C.
It should be a very cool evening........and then tomorrow up into the low 70's....and it is to remain that way the remainder of the week!!!! Not bad, considering what our family and friends up north are going to experience!!!!
And so......a day of not much news....not to much excitement....and no pictures to share with the world! But you know.......we all have these days when nothing special, nothing exciting, nothing dramatic happens......right????? I should have lots to discuss concerning my journey on Sunday....and for the following four days. Thinking seriously about taking my laptop on the trip now......shouldn't be a problem since I can leave it at my friend's home on Sunday night when I arrive there.
A fine day.......a very pretty day, albeit some harsh winds from the north.........and a great afternoon of fun square dancing...........which all assures me that......
LIFE IS JUST REALLY, REALLY GREAT!!!!!.....And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!!
