Day 73: Nasty weather day here in the RGV...and temps in the 50's!!

WOW...w of worst winter weather witnessed in the RGV all year.!!!! But.....did that keep us from enjoying our Lives???? HELL NO!!!!! After the morning rituals, we left the resort about 9:20am....and went to Casa del Valle(Cahsah dehl Vahyeh) for two hours of sq. dancing with 93 other couples.....GREAT FUN!!!!!! We, always......laughed and had soooooo much fun this morning......you MUST try this incredible activity....we walked on the pedometer a total of 2.6 miles during those two hours!!!!

From there, we went west to Mission where we spent quite a bit of time at Academia.....a sports store which has a great stock of tennis shoes, as well as about any other sports gear which you might need. I purchased a pair of Reebok tennis shoes/walking style just exactly like I have on each day.......but, they are beginning to show quite a bit of wear.....as I bought them before we went to Egypt and Jordan in the very late fall of 2007(check Archives of Nov 14 to early Decmeber of that year for pictures).

From there, we returned to the resort.....kicked back and just laid around, reading and watching a bit of tellie. We had visited briefly with Kayla Goldsmith about coming out from Port Isabel to see us, but they are preparing to leave for Misery tomorrow and so couldn't make it out this time.....DAMN!!!

Around 5pm.....a knock on the door....and Diane entered to see our "Gecko" on the wall....and to invite us over for Happy Hour. Well....we walked across the street....me carrying my huge glass of Cab.....and the 1st Lady with an Amaretto Sour.....and before long those glasses were empty and other drinks were soon poured and distributed into our greedy little hands. After an hour of great conversation, Diane fixed a wonderful soup with all kinds of seafood in it...including octopus, mussels, fish from the sea...and other delightful delicacies from the sea. We accepted their invitation to eat with them......and then more drinks were poured....some light white wine to accompany the seafood soup...and then later, after dinner drinks were shared with us. Ahhhhhh, those Canadians really, really know how to entertain and ply you with drinks!!!!!!!!!! I highly, highly recommend the after dinner drink.......a tequila with creme mixture which is absolutely delightful!!!!!!! I'll get the name for you tomorrow......

A great day and evening with wonderful friends!!!! And, as always.........

LIFE IS JUST SIMPLY INCREDIBLY GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!......And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!! (Please overlook the typos.....tooooo much liquid refreshment this evening)
