I pulled the sagging hulk of Me into the familiar vertical position around 7am, as Jeremy had said he wanted to be up and going by 8am. Soooo, I quietly turned on the coffee pot and soon the aroma of Fr. Roast coffee was filling TheHowserHouse.
He got up around 8.....and a little before 9, he was ready to leave for New Orleans. We exchanged hugs and with a wave he drove away.......about a 12 hour drive up there from here. He called around 8 this evening to say he was just driving into New Orleans and would soon be at his apt. in downtown New Orleans. He has one day of rest....tomorrow...and then he is has to fly to Columbus, OH for a meeting there.
I enjoyed my coffee, then straightened the rv.....and soon I saw Diane outside sitting reading the paper, so I wandered over to greet her. Returning to our "house", I had more coffee and then Diane came by on the way to the swimming pool to tell me that Doug was having problems with his computer.....that it may have crashed!!! Soooo, I hurried over to see what was happening.....and saw that it was doing strange things on the monitor with various colors that didn't belong there.
I gave him the phone number of the computer repair shop I had used and by calling them, he found out that they are open on Saturday. Sooooo.....a few minutes later he and I left for McAllen to take his laptop there. We had to leave it there, and from our discussions there, it doesn't appear right at this point to be the motherboard! THANK God. We then returned to the resort....and went our separate ways to our homes on wheels.
I had a little lunch.....and then did some work online. I had my coffee sitting on the foot stool where the 1st Lady had very distinctly told me to put it each time I was setting at the desk where the laptop is located. Sooo, she came into the den and stumbled over the foot stool, sending my hot, full mug of coffee onto the carpet making a huge stain immediately!!!! WHAT NEXT!!!!!????? So, for an hour we try to get the coffee out of the carpet, tried to get the stain removed, etc., etc., etc. with no luck. Soooo, we gave up and she decided to make a trip out to the Outlet Mall a few miles from here.
I went outside, laid back in the chaise lounge and read my novel for about an hour. Doug and Diane left for a drive.....and by mid-afternoon the winds were blowing as strong as we have seen all winter(?) down here.......I could barely hold my book to read!!!!!
When she returned, we warmed over the chicken, rice, and lemon-butter sauce and had another delicious meal out of Jeremy's wonderful dinner he had prepared a day ago. By that time, we were off to Pharr to square dance with many of our friends from around the US and Canada that are wintering here in the RGV. Doug and Diane went with us, even though they have not yet been able to take the lessons for the Plus level of square dancing.
It was just a fabulous evening with our dancing improving.....and with hanging out with such wonderful people/friends. The 2 hours flew by......and we can hardly wait until tomorrow evening when we go sq. dancing again.
Today????? After returning to the resort this evening, I have continued to think about what a super group of friends that we have here in the RGV!!!!!!!!! Some are beginning to leave to return to their homes in various states north of here, but there are still many, many who are still having fun playing down here in this warm weather. Such great times we are having!!!!!!!!.......And, as always........
LIFE IS JUST INCREDIBLY GREAT!!!!!!......And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!!
