AHH.....what a day this has been. After her Tai-Chi class this morning....we decided to not go square dancing as we were both a bit tired after yesterday and just need a free morning, knowing that the rest of the day was packed to the max with activities and parties!!!
I spent about a half hour washing the windows on TheHowserHouse...the outside windows....and then before we could turn around, it was time to meet Doug and Diane to head over to the west part of the RGV to watch the syncronized swimming team....the "Mermaids" in the debut performance for this winter season. WELL.....we had a blast watching, the sides of the large pool were filled with spectators and our square dance group all were there to watch Sally.....one of the "gang" from our square dancing. I was quite surprised at how well these senior citizen ladies of the pool did with their swimming to music!!!!!!!! They should really, really be proud of themselves....and of their performance today. CONGRATS MERMAIDS!!!!!!!
Afterwards, we all went over to Sally and Jim's RV...and were there for an hour or so with Margaritas and wine wetting us down from the afternoon burning sun which we had been in at the pool!! The conversations were many and varied.....and all of them brought out the fun and laughter from the circle of friends gathered at their RV. It was a wonderful way to begin the afternoon round of parties on this day of the wearing of the green!
Returning to Llano Grande and TheHowserHouse, we quickly prepared some appetizers and hurried up to the street in front of the pool here in the North section.....which had been shut down for the expected gathering of lots of people celebrating this day! And......we were not disappointed as the street soon was filled with music from the DJ, lots of laughing and plenty of chatting and talking as the approximately 250 people ambled down the street, munching on the appetizers from 7 or 8 tables laden with anything you might wish to eat......and lots of grazing did occur for the next few hours!!!!! Everyone brought their chairs and their drinks.......and the partying was soon going strong up and down this street!!! And then the dancing began....line dancing, and all kinds of dancing with the great variety of music that was blasted throughout this end of the resort. SUCH FUN, SUCH FUN, SUCH FUN!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a fantastic party....and one that will not be forgotten by those attending!!!!!!! The dancing and music and partying by all of those there continued into the night and finally shut down by 9pm, to abide by the rules of the resort for Quiet Hours in the evening!
Following that several of us quickly changed into swim suits.....and went to the pool and hot tub for an hour or more.......a great way to finish off our wine and relax under the stars of Texas!!!!
OK......nothing more to say about this fantastic day, but................
LIFE IS JUST REALLY, REALLY INCREDIBLY GREAT!!!!!!!!.....And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!!
