Day 70(Tuesday): Hot, windy, and another evening of incredible friends and fun!!

And so.....it was 90 degrees with strong southerly winds, bright blue sky, and one of those days when I just did not want to remain inside TheHowserHouse one second longer than necessary!!!!! A day which made everyone sooooooo overjoyed just to be here and alive!

After my morning Fr. Roast.....after writing the post for yesterday.....and after a bite of breakfast, the 1st Lady and hurried off to the south to about a quarter of a mile from the border to check out two Mexican pottery and gift shops. Well, the one we wanted to visit was closed......were we too early??? Could be, but it was still closed when we drove back just before 10am. The other one....well, their items were a bit overpriced.....and so, we drove back without purchasing anything.

A quick stop at Home Depot for some items which I need to install a replacement part for under my entertainment slide which the Cedar Creek Factory sent to me without any charge.....PLUS another one in case I might need it in the future!!!! Obviously, my RV is out of warranty, but this is just the way Cedar Creek operates their business...their customer service!!!!! They are absolutely FANTASTIC!!!!!! Just call them.....talk to the main company rep.....and Voila!!!! They are jolly-on-the-spot with getting the needed items sent out to you, or for scheduling you into a dealer for the repairs to be made...........I have never dealt with a better company in any aspect with any item.........I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Cedar Creek Factory personnel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This afternoon.....I just enjoyed the day outside, visiting with our good friends from Edmunton, Alberta, and kicking back and getting my Vitamin D exposure. A great afternoon.......

Around 4pm, we picked up Doug and Diane....and off we went to the Pharr area to the Tip of Texas RV Park where we had a potluck supper at the home/rv(they are "full-timers" and live in their lovely 5th wheel full time). Many of our very great friends from our square dancing were there for Happy Hour....and then the dinner. A couple of us discussed how great it is to be down here with everyone.....the great friends we have made and sooooo enjoy being with......and the dual lives we live: one at our home in our own state(s)...and the other life down here in the RGV each winter with such wonderful friends. And.....the two lives are sooooooooo different!!!!! As a friend said: " Everyone down here is sooooo much more relaxed and not nearly as stiff as back at home(Kansas)". And soooo it is........down here: no formalities, no "keeping up with the Jones'", no schedules to maintain, no responsibilities to speak of, no winter weather which is soooooo depressing. I'm sure there are more....but those come to mind first. WE ALL LOVE IT HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And so.....another day........and it brings the assurances that........

LIFE IS JUST WONDERFULLY GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!......And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!!!
