We had left the main bedroom window open last night as it was soooo nice and warm outside when we turned off the lights......but, sometime during the night I was awakened by the wind...and I felt the very chilly wind blowing inside. I pulled my sagging hulk out of bed, closed the upper vent and the larger window and fell back into that wonderful horizontal position for several more hours.
When I slipped downstairs quietly(???), I realized that I should have laid out my clothes in the den as it was quite chilly downstairs and I didn't want to awaken the 1st Lady so I didn't rummage around trying to find them upstairs. Sooooo, I soon had the fireplace turned on and the den began to warm up nicely.
After several cups of French Roast coffee made from freshly ground beans(this morning), we had a "what to do today?" conversation and decided to tackle the very large day-night shade which needed to be re-strung, since the weather was not the most pleasant for many outdoor activities. I called Pete......our good Cedar Creek friend.....as he had expressed a desire to learn how to restring these blinds/shades....and he was very quickly knocking on the door.
This task was a bit more complex than the other four or five that we have already restrung over the past year. They were smaller window shades, but this one is quite large which made it more difficult with more strings and a different pattern of stringing them. But.....after a bit more than two hours, we had it completed and re-hung above the window!!!
This afternoon......the 1st Lady went to the gym for an hour.....and then later we rode our bikes over to the Library to get some books to read. They have a nice Library here at the Resort and so there are always good choices to make.
This evening......we had some great soup........comfort food???? Yep, I do believe it was....and this evening, still in the relaxed mode, we watched a bit of the tellie....and then did some reading. Tomorrow, the 1st Lady will go to her Line Dancing lessons.....and then we may run over to another rv park for some dance lessons for the two of us.
Interestingly........a former student of mine who reads this blog commented on one of my posts about how much fun it is to take square dancing lessons.....as she and her husband on doing just that! It is great to hear that there are young people getting in to this activity because it is such GREAT, GREAT fun!!!!!! Again......I would certainly encourage all of you to give it a try!
And sooooo, it has been fun in our little house on wheels........a down-sized house from our stick and brick....and we are re-adjusting to this smaller space for day-to-day living....and we really do enjoy it!!! And.........even with this laid-back day..........relaxed and comfy...........
LIFE IS REALLY, REALLY GREAT!!!!!!.....And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!!!
