Day 5: Ahhhh.....such a wonderful day!!!

With the first look outside this morning, I was a bit worried.........we were supposed to have another great day, but the fog was thick...which didn't allow the sun to be seen nor felt. However, by the time the morning rituals were completed and the French Roast coffee was ready to pour, the sun was burning off the fog. I took my second cup of coffee on the patio...and it was already in the 70's when I went outside.....GREAT!!!!

Pete/Jane, Buzz/Moe, and the 1st Lady and I had made plans to go to the Fresh Fruit/Veggie Market and the Flea Market across the street from there, so.......we gathered at TheHowserHouse and left a bit after 10AM today. Being only about 3-4 miles from here, we were there quickly......found a good parking spot....and began the wandering, tasting, looking, and ooooing and ahhhhing at the beautiful fresh fruits and veggies!!! OMG.....the prices were soooooo low......sooooo cheap! HUGE and firm fresh bell peppers of red, green, yellow, and orange varieties were anywhere from 50 cents a piece to 65 cents each!!!! And to think that at home these same peppers(well, not nearly as fresh) sell for over $2.00....and sometimes $2.98 each. The size of the fresh cauliflower were soooooooooo big that we couldn't buy one because we did not have the space in the fridge! We did find some of those super sweet baby bananas......sooooooo good. Fresh pineapple oranges were wonderful, so we did buy a large net bag of them for $3.00!!!

Crossing the street to the huge Flea Market, we shopped for a couple of hours. The 1st Lady and I purchased a "runner" rug for the dining area of TheHowserHouse to go along the area where the slide comes into the main part of the coach.....and it is a close color match to the area rug we purchased in Arizona almost two years ago. We have been looking for one for about a year.....and we decided that even if it became soiled quickly........we wouldn't have lost much as it only cost $20.00!!! I also puchased some bungie cords to anchor and keep together my tire covers which keep the hot sun off of the rubber.

Returning to the Resort, the 1st Lady and I took care of some chores around the RV......and before long it was time to grill some pork chops we had purchased yesterday. WOW......they were sooooo damn good after I finished with the grilling!!!! A couple of doses of dark red medicine to accompany them, as well as a great spinach/lettuce salad with cranberries, apple pieces, and tiny green onions with a balsamic dressing just added the right touch to the chops.

After dinner, we walked across the street to Pete/Jane's RV....and joined them along with Buzz/Moe and another couple who live behind us who are from 100 miles north of Edmunton, Alberta, Canada. Such fun......such wonderful conversation......such a great time as we sat on Pete's patio as the sun went down, the breezes remaining warm and gentle, and the temps remaining in the 70's, even until 7:30pm when we broke up the late Happy Hour.

Did I mention that we had those ruby red grapefruit for breakfast this morning.....and OMG.....what a wonderful sweet, not so acidic taste they had!!! Sooooooo juicy, sooooooo sweet, soooooo GOOD!!!! We had picked them off the tree next to us yesterday.......WOW....WOW!!!!

Rain and cooler weather is predicted for tomorrow and into Tuesday morning so have postponed our jaunt over into Mexico that was planned for tomorrow. We need to make a liquor run across the border, as well as some meds that the 1st Lady needs for her prevention of migraines, but this can all wait until the weather is good. Plus......we need to have a late lunch at The Red Snapper......a super place to eat in Progreso, MX.....I can hardly wait!!

And soooo, Day 5 has disappeared....already the time is passing soooooo quickly!! But, of course, you know that with days like this full of wonderful weather, great friends, incredible foods, good conversations with lots of laughter.......OMG, there is nothing to say but......

LIFE IS SOOOOO INCREDIBLY GREAT!!!!!......And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!!
