Fri-Sat; Dec 18-19, 2009: Northeast Misery hosts the Redman Family Christmas

The 1st Lady and I left the stick and brick about mid-morning yesterday. Stopping in STL, we did a bit of Christmas shopping, including purchasing a new area rug for our living room. Then.....it was onwards to Monroe City where the 1st Lady's mother resides. We spent the afternoon and the night with her.......a person who has lived all her life in Monroe City....all 85 plus years.

This morning......we remained there until after 12noon....and then drove on back to Hannibal where we are staying at the Quality Inn and Suites with many, many other relatives of the 1st Lady. This is where her family gathers each year on the weekend before Christmas to have their holiday reunion/festivities.

By late afternoon, the pool room was loud and happy with lots of little ones enjoying the pool.....and the older generations enjoying a few drinks, snacks, cookies, etc., etc. Lots of visiting, of course, and lots of laughs.

This evening....somehow most of the family that is staying here found their way to our hotel room...and even though it is a LARGE room, it was, and continues to be packed with lots of family.....I believe the last count was 18 people and children here enjoying the late evening. Some are watching 'The Wizard of Oz' on the tv....others are watching the Dallas Cowboys game on a computer, the kids are playing in, and..on both beds.....and more cookies and snacks and beer and Creme de Tequila being consumed......and a great time is being had by all!!!!!!!

Soooo, since I cannot possibly concentrate on this, I will close this little post......and, as always.....

LIFE IS JUST REALLY INCREDIBLY GREAT!!!!!!!.....And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!!
