Day 17: Dreary weather BUT an incredibly GREAT movie!!

Ahhh...once again, I awoke staring up to the skyling and thinking that there was NO sun once again!!! And....that is the way the entire day was.......minus the sun. Fr. Roast assisted, as usual, in awakening my sagging hulk of an aging body.......and, as always, I waited until the 1st Lady had risen before I showered. Our shower on the upstairs level of our 5er is in the same room as the bedroom, so I let her sleep.

We were just preparing to leave for McAllen/Mission to shop and see a movie when there was a knock on the door.....and it was Don and Mary Beth from across the street. They are returning to Oklahoma for a week or so to take care of things on the home front. Since we will be heading farther west by the time they return to their RV across the street from us, they wanted to say "good-bye". We exchanged addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses.....and we will stay in touch. Perhaps we will stop in Oklahoma City area on the return trip to Missouri in a couple of months or so.

Then the 1st Lady and I hit the road and ran over to McAllen. Did some spot shopping.....noshopping malls....and didn't really purchase anything....welllllll, I did get a Starbucks Capuccino(sp??? I can NEVER remember which letters to double...hehehe). Later on ......we went to the movies and watched: "Blood Diamond" OMG.......what a terrific movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you haven't seen it...........run, don't walk....to the nearest theater that is showing this and get a ticket for it!!!!! WHAT a cast......film editing.....war scenes.....African poverty scenes....etc, etc. The acting by Leonardo DiCaprio was wonderful........he should be nominated for an Academy Award......and I feel he deserves the award!!!!!! WOW!!!! I am still feeling the excitement and emotion from the movie......hours and hours later. Sooooo good!

This evening......we have just been lazy here at TheHowserHouse. Tomorrow morning we go for breakfast with a couple from Kansas who are members of the Cedar Creek RV Owners Club.....of which we are members. Looking forward to this!!!

And so......with crappy.....NO....Shitty is the correct word for the weather this week....which is going to continue for more days.........ugh!

But....

Life is Great....and I hope it is for all of you, also!!!
