Day 13: BRRRRR......what a difference a day makes!!!

OMG.....are we only 3 miles from the Mexicano border????? It feels like 3 miles from Canada. The cold fron roared through about 6 this morning and the with north winds howling and rocking TheHowserHouse.......the temps began to drop and by the time I crawled out of the bed about 7:30.....it had dropped into the upper 40's from a daily high of 70 during the wee hours.
And, it has continued to drop all day.

We even kept the shades down all day just to keep some of the heat inside and the windy cold outside. The 1st Lady went to the Exercise Building this morning......and I stayed here and watched her on the tellie. YEP.....it is all closed circuit TV from all of the various venues here in the park......and she worked hard on those various machines.

After lunch, we headed over to the Club for our dance lessons. Today.....for two hours....we worked on the country, waltz, jitterbug, and salsa styles and steps. My legs felt like jelly after two non-stop hours of dancing instruction and practice!!!!!! It is fun.....but exhausting.

I kept thinking all day that the pics I posted yesterday......well, as I said....what a difference a day makes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had the fireplace going most of the day......and all during this evening........we love having a fireplace in TheHowserHouse. We thought it was one of those items that came with the rig that we would probably never use......HA!!!!! WE LOVE IT!!!!! We would replace it a heartbeat should anything happen to it.

We are already hooked on this year's "24" series!!!!!!!!!! It is sure a gripping drama! Don't know what will happen if we are ever where we can't get the correct station.......

Tomorrow.....well, let's hope that it will be somewhat warmer, but I doubt it from the forecast. HAHAHA.....the 6 pm news on the local stations down here this evening was announcing the closing of several schools because of the COLD weather!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Down in the mid 30's tonight....and they close the schools. What do you northerners think about that one????????

We are going out to dinner tomorrow evening with some new friends that are here from Oklahoma........should be fun. We have met sooooo many people already since we arrived.

My thoughts seem to be in short spurts this evening.........we are switching the tellie from the Golden Globes Awards to the Mizzou/Kansas bb game......and my thoughts don't stay on one topic very long......sorry.

Even though it is really, really cold down here..........it makes no difference......cause,

Life is Great.....and I hope it is for all of you, also!!!
