AHHHH……..this morning was another great morning…..a wee tad cooler than yesterday morning, but just about perfect ….and how can we ask for anything more?? After the quiet morning rituals, I managed to get online and post the pictures for my blog….those that I couldn’t upload last night.
Then after getting the 1st Lady up…..I went outside to consume my second cup of French Roast coffee……the sky soooo blue once again….and the ocean about a mile in front of us…..all made that cup of coffee taste even better than normal!!
It wasn’t long before our front yard was complete with Pete/Jane and Buzz/Moe and we sat around talking and laughing for a couple of hours……perhaps more. Then….OMG, it was time to think about lunch!!!!! Buzz/Moe decided not to go with us……so, Pete/Jane and the 1st Lady and I headed east back over to the Rustico area. We soon found a small place that we had seen down by the wharfs a couple of days ago…..and before long we were seated at an outside table….very close to the waterfront!!
After looking at the menu….and discussing the various items with the server, we all decided to order the Baked Hot and Bubbly Seafood casserole. WOW….did we ever make the correct choice!!!!!!! This little casserole dish was chock full of delicious lobster and other choice morels of seafood, covered with broiled cheese……..and…..WOW, it was super!!!!!! This is one of the best meals I have had on this journey since we left almost six weeks ago!!!!!! Be sure and put this café on your “to eat at” list!!!!!
From the café, we found a beach and spent a bit of time walking around on it.…dodging Frisbee’s and other beach type balls as there were many others enjoying the sun and the beach on a great afternoon.
We drove back to the KOA…….and then not too long afterwards, Pete went with me to get some diesel fuel for our trip tomorrow. Returning to the KOA again…..I just kicked back and did a few things outside to prepare for the trip tomorrow.……about 60 miles to the Ferry docks..……an hour and a half ferry trip to Nova Scotia….and then about 2.5 hours of driving to get to our campground where we have reservations.
This evening about 7pm, all six of us left for the shore....and the Provincial Park….driving along the coast line.…stopping for views and strolls along the pathways….and then as the sun began to set we took many photos of the setting sun as the colors changed with each passing moment. An absolutely stunning sunset!!!!!!
Returning to THH, the 1st Lady had fixed ice cream, fresh strawberries and cake for everyone here at TheHowseHouse. We had some wonderful laughs, discussions about our times when we first became owners of various RV’s during our lives.….and the dumb things we did during those first weeks of being rv owners!!!!
It has been a wonderful day..……….such a great place.….such great friends!!!!!!
LIFE IS INCREDIBLY GREAT!!!!!!……And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!!
