“What a difference a day can make.” Yep…..an old saying and it is certainly true today for the 1st Lady and this sagging hulk of me.
I was up around 6:45.…couldn’t sleep as the rains were doing more than just some soft pitter-pattering……it was raining rather strongly! But……the French Roast coffee was certainly giving off some wonderful aroma by the time I finished with my morning rituals…..and that did help matters. I was able to get online a bit later…..and with the coffee and reading the online papers, I was content while just looking out the rear window at the foggy mountains, not too far from our campground.
The 1st Lady was up around 8:30.…..and after her tea…..we decided this would be a great day to just relax “at home”, do some laundry, and then see what the rest of the day would bring forth. AND, we did just that!!! It drizzled on and off…..and for that matter, it is raining now as I write this at 9pm Atlantic Daylight Time. The morning went swiftly…..I went to the payphone and made reservations for four nights beginning tomorrow night at an RV Park outside of Halifax. Didn’t have any trouble getting a place….and that is always great news. Sure hope their Wifi is working strongly!!!
Then…..we just read, listened to some music, and literally sat on our rears and enjoyed the foggy, drizzling weather. I did manage to get the patio chairs and table put away into the basement for our travel day tomorrow……….folded the laundry…..and that was about it! WOW…..what a difficult day!!!!
This evening…..well, we wanted to eat another lobster dinner before leaving this part of Nova Scotia……and, so we went into town to the Baddeck Lobster Supper café…..and WOW…..it was GREAT!!!!!
We each had all-we-can eat seafood chowder(terrific) and mussels…..and then the salad and the 1lb lobster. At last count, I had consumed 30 mussels…..they are in season…and OMG, are they ever large and sooooooo damn tasty!!!! Then….the lobster was brought to each of us…..and once again…..was it ever, ever good!!!!! We ate and ate and ate…..and then we had strawberry-rhubarb pie ala mode!!!! Yep…..and every ounce of this huge seafood meal, dessert, and drinks came to only $29.95 each!!!!! WOW…..what a deal!!!!!
Returning to TheHowserHouse…….we started to take a walk, but the rains began and so we opted to just return to THH and sit in the den with the fireplace warming it up….and read. And so…..there you have it! Yep….that was out day……….and, we know that
LIFE IS REALLY REALLY GREAT!!!!!!…..And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!!
