UPDATE:

Saturday morning: Ahhhh, another beautiful day here in SE Missouri!!! Just a few words on the lack of balloon pictures from last night's "glow" event. There was very little "glow". I was mucho disappointed!!!!! The winds were blowing and they blew out the glow so it didn't "go". The huge, bunny was not able to become totally inflated, even with Rachel and I and her mother and uncle standing right under it as went up. One time it came down and landed right on top of Rachel's head.......a great and wonderful surprise and event for her!!! Only 3 or 4 other balloons even were blown up and they just didn't glow, as when they did get up, it was way too early and too light for any dramatic affect.

Now.....the event was in a different area of the very large Forest Park this year....and it was NOT conducive for seeing these balloons!!!!!!!!!! The crowds were even larger than last year with literally thousands of people/families there, but it was not "clustered" as it was last year and so the stretching out of the balloon' s ground positions into a long line just didn't work. We were all very upset with the arrangement.......especially after last year's wonderful views and great fun in being able to assist with getting the balloons inflated and up.

Sooooo, I'm definitely know that last night was not worth the effort on our part since the weather/winds didn't cooperate AND because of the configuration of the balloons into a line was just not the best for the people there.

Ok.....off of my soapbox. We returned here a little after midnight....hence, my non-post last night. Today.....another event as the 1st Lady and I are going with her sorority to tour the Bonne Terre Mine......not sure what there is there besides the well touted underground lake.

Soooo, more on all of this later...........

Life IS Great......and I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!
