With everything loaded in the car, we pulled out of the driveway.......security alarms turned on in the sticknbrick......at 7:35 this morning. A slightly different route than I have ever driven when going ease, we went down to Cape G., crossed the river, turned north for a few miles and then crossed southern Illinois until we reached I-24, turned south and continued on the same highway until we reached the Western Kentucky Parkway. Taking that four lane highway, we continued northeast until we reached Lexington, KY.....and then picked up I-64 east.
A very easy drive on all of those highways.........we arrived in Huntington, WV about 6pm EDT. We stopped at a Best Western Hotel and after getting a nice room.....except for the non-HD tv.....we walked across the parking lot and had dinner at the Outback restaurant.
510 miles, with about an hour lost for some rest stops.........and only about 330 miles left to travel tomorrow to Waynesboro, PA. Driving the car is certainly a LOT easier than driving the truck with the 39' RV behind it!!!!! I had forgotten how quickly you can make good time while driving the car.....WOW!!!
And so.......another day of traveling is completed.....and, as always.....
LIFE IS JUST REALLY, REALLY GREAT!!!!......And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!
