Day 62: BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

WOW.....this was a near perfect day.......a day when the temps warmed to the mid-70's after reaching the upper 30's last night. No winds......until late this afternoon.....which made the day even better for everyone.

After my morning rituals..........and after Jay and I had drank about two pots of coffee, he and I took off on the bikes and I gave him the "grand tour" of Llano Grande RV Resort. We made several stops at the important areas and buildings here in the resort......and after about an hour, returned to TheHowserHouse site.

After lunch, the three of us went to Walmart for some shopping, then on to Rey's Meat Market on Salinas Street where we purchased three very thick (1.5 inches thick) T-Bone steaks for this evening's dinner. It sure is super to just tell the butcher how thick you want the steaks....and then have him cut them to the requested size!!!!!

Returning to the resort, we decided to go take a quick swim and use the hot tub for an hour or so before the sun began to set behind the palm trees. As we were walking down our street, Los Lagos, three sites from ours I noticed a car in that site from Missouri....and then saw that the license frame mentioned Eldon, MO. I stopped and asked the lady sitting there where in Missouri she lived......and she said: " The Lake of the Ozarks". Well.....I then told her I was originally from Eldon.......and she looked at me a bit more.....and then....."John?"

OMG....my mind and eyes worked overtime to recognize her, however....it had been tooooo long since I had seen her. Her name...Virginia.....and she is the sister of my mother's best friend, Lois C. WOW......we had not seen each other in years and years.........and it was such a surprise for both of us!!! SUCH a small world!!! These "small world" incidences seem to keep coming and coming...........really, really strange!!!!! You just never know when you will see someone from the past.....no matter where in the world you find yourself!!!!

Dinner this evening was really fantastic!!!! I grilled those huge steaks, grilled some fresh asparagus drizzled with EOV and salt, some red peppers, some sliced potatoes which were wrapped in aluminum foil and then laid on the grill......and a wonderful salad was put together by the 1st Lady. GREAT!!!!!! Pinot Grigio and Cabernet Sauvignon accompanied the meal.....and it was really delicious!!!!

Tonight.....a tv night with most of the evening being consumed with "The Bachelor". WHAT a surprise!!!!!! Still not sure about all of what I saw.......hmmmm.

And so.......while being brief tonight due to the late hour.......as always.....

LIFE IS JUST REALLY, REALLY GREAT!!!!!......And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!!
