Wed., March 10, 2010: More recent catch-ups.......

Monday: We drove over here to Panama City Beach from where we had had our RV stored during the wedding week.......an easy drive with one stop at the Welcome Center as we came into Florida......just had to get the cup of free orange juice, a tradition at the Florida Centers!!! We had no difficulty finding the RV Park where we had managed to get a reservation just that morning...Monday! A really nice rv park.......in among the tall pine trees, but only a couple of miles from the "action" of the front beach road where ALL of the hotels are located.

After a quick hook-up, we called Sue and Dave Hanner who had driven over here on Sunday....and they told us where their hotel was located. We grabbed some wine, some munchies, and soon we were sitting on their balcony, overlooking the beach/Gulf of Mexico....and were enjoying the view as we enjoyed some vino!! Lots of laughs and lots of discussions about the wonderful wedding weekend!!!

Dr. Jeni, Darrel, and three kids had also arrived here at Pamana City Beach on Sunday, so after leaving the Hanners during the early evening, we found their rented house....and soon we were all heading for dinner. Not the best place.....but, it was OK considering the fact that this is Spring Break time down here and every place is just packed!!!!!! Returning to TheHowserHouse, we fell into bed.....STILL exhausted from the wedding festivities!!!!1

TUESDAY:

Most of the day was spent with Dr. Jeni and family......enjoying our time together. They had come over to our place........and then they took the kids to the beach to play in the sand, as the water is really, REALLY cold!! We grilled steaks for dinner at their house.....and had a great time with playing with the kids that evening.

WEDNESDAY: We again went to their house....only about 1.5 miles from our rv park.....and then early afternoon we took the kids to an "Arcade" which had many outside rides, inside games to play, and Ko-Carts to ride, which everyone except Max rode.

Then we drove west about 26 miles to the little town of Seaside, right on the beach. This is one of those planned communities which has been built.....an entirely new town with unique, various colored houses very close to each other, one-way narrow little lanes of brick to drive on to the various homes, and the city center was full of boutiques, cafes, coffee shops, art/glass boutiques, etc., etc., etc. Soooooo colorful, soooooo unique......and such fun to explore!!!! The 1st Lady and I are going to drive back over there this weekend, if the weather improves.

We ate in a great little restaurtant.........most of us having the Pecan Encrusted Grouper with fried green tomatoes, Gouda Cheese Grits, hushpuppies, and a few other little southern items. VERY good....and I certainly would eat there again!!! We ate between 4 and 6pm....and many, many items were at half price during those two hours......GREAT DEAL!!!!!!!

Returning back to the RV.....we watched a bit of TV....and I just simply fell asleep in the chair. During last night the predicted rains have arrived.......and will be here through tomorrow....UGH!!!!! Who wants to be at a beach location with vast quantities of rain pouring down on you??????? Predicted: 4-6 inches of rain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT is a lot of rain!

Soooooo, not new word from Blogger about my lost posts and pictures!!!!!!! Will keep working the Forum there to get answers/solutions, but I think most of those that are miss will be lost....damn it!!!! There is no human being to get answers from........all computerized with millions and millions of bloggers using this vehicle to write and post pictures. Not a good sign......... I am going to start saving my posts as an email to me.....and then I can at least re-construct them OR then I can still look back and then remember what we did and where we were on our travels!!!!

Will pot some pics of the past few days a bit later this morning.....but, as always...

LIFE IS JUST INCREDIBLY GREAT!!!!!!...And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!

John, just catching up on the events of Jay & Anna-Marie’s wedding, they make a great looking couple oh and Congratulations you now have a new daughter in your family. The pictures look great and it appears everyone had a wonderful time. I have never experienced old Southern Hospitality but seeing what it's like in your pictures I can tell it is FABULOUS. The 1st Lady, as well as all the ladies, looked beautiful in all their formal gowns. I hope you guys can now kick back and relax after all the festivities are complete.
