WHEW......a day of time scheduling, travel, sadness, and joy

Up at 5:30 this morning.......feeling like I was hung over, but in reality it was just my sagging hulk that was hanging......hmmmmm. We left TheHowserHouse stick and brick about 8AM.....filled up with gas(UGH....costly).....and then drove to STL with a bit of extra time before the 10am funeral of our daughter-in-law's mother. Again, as last night.......soooooo many people, friends, and family from near and afar were there to celebrate her Life with their presence..........WONDERFUL!!!!

Immediately after the funeral service at the church finished, we got into the car and drove another 140 miles to Waynesville, MO. Quickly checking into the Fairfield Inn, we freshened up, talked by cell with Jeremy, who drove up from Cape Girardea......and with Dr. Jeni and family who drove down from the Moser Estate.......all arriving with 15 minutes of each other. Then we left for the small, but very nice little church for the wedding.

It was a really nice wedding, albeit a small one. And......that, too, is a good thing because it is not about the guests......but the wedding is for the bride and groom.....and I could tell they enjoyed everything about the wedding and reception. My sister and niece had done a great job of getting the church decorated, making the many dresses, and actually being the wedding coordinators. I do believe they could go into that type of business..........it was really great.

I wound up being the photographer.....and that, too, was fun. However, my damn batteries do not like to last as long as they should and I had to change them right during the processional. Oh well.......just a minor problem that wasn't REALLY a problem!

The reception was at the VFW Hall.......and although it was way toooo smoky, it was a great place to have it and everyone there had a super time.......including us! Just ate way tooooooo much.....and, hmmmmm......the 1st Lady drank a wee bit tooooo much......hahaha!! Tooo bad....

Now, back here at the Fairfield Inn......and since Ft. Leonard Wood, a HUGE Army base.....is right here within two miles of this place.......the hallways and the pool and ALL the rooms are really waaaaayyyyyy tooooo noisy with guys who are having a good time and partying quite a bit. Oh well.......how well I can remember doing the same thing....errrr, some 40 years ago......when I was a young new recruit in the USAF. Oh yeah........I CAN remember the Saturday nights in Amarillo....the hotel suites.....the toooooo-much drinking....etc..etc..etc. (I'll leave the rest to your imagination). Sooooo, I can't be very harsh with them.......unless they awaken me from my beauty sleep in the wee hours of tonight( I need ALL of that type of sleep that I can get).

And sooooo, another day of watching the clock to make all of our appointments and travel.......and as usual.....

LIFE IS GREAT!!!!!.....And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!
