Hmmmmm......today was a dreary day outside, but inside we kept very busy doing the last minute things.....without being able to use a bank or the post office.
The morning began with the 1st Lady baking some of her favorite muffins, I made Fr. Roast coffee, and we enjoyed the visit of Mike Goldsmith and his daughter, Emily. The morning passed quickly as we sat around the table talking and discussing all of the important events of the world......and solved all of the problems. Now.....if only someone would ask us for our ideas......hahaha!
The 1st Lady spent some of the time being creative with Play-Do (sp??) and helping Emily make some pizzas and cookies, and various other shapes and things. Remaining until almost noon, it was certainly good.....as always....to talk with Michael and go through several cups of coffee.
The remainder of the day went very fast as we began to gather things/clothes that we think we might need. We DO want to travel lightly, but the older one gets the more difficult it becomes to NOT take some of the things we think we must have with us........haha. Oh well.......as long as we are within the weight limits for our luggage.
This evening........seems to be a continuation of the afternoon. Sooooo.......I believe we are about ready to go. I have been waking up around 4-4:30 each morning.....and that is a GOOD thing since we will be losing 8 hours of time on Wednesday/Thursday. We will also need to leave for STL and the airport no later than 3:30 Wed morning.......UGH!! At least that may put us to sleep early on the plane out of NYC......and then perhaps we can adjust to the new time easier.
And so, as always........the day has been good, things were accomplished.......and....
LIFE IS GREAT!!!!!.....And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!
