Another Arizona day......blue, bright, clear, no humidity, and almost hot temps. FANTASTIC!!!
Today we just hung around TheHowserHouse..........this morning after breakfast and Fr. Roast coffee, we "hit the road"....riding our bikes for five miles in a little over 30 minutes, just here in the RV park. It was certainly invigorating.....and I am getting to where I really do look forward to these morning rides. Amazing how many people just continue to wave and shout greetings as we ride by their park models or rvs......even when we continue to go up and down their streets to reach our number of miles ridden.
This afternoon....well, at 3pm we gathered with about 24 other people here.....friends who live in the "neighborhood". It was FIESTA TIME!!! Appetizers.......LOTS of laughs....and then about 4 we gorged ourselves on the incredible Mexican buffet that everyone had contributed to make a huge late afternoon supper. SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I continue to wonder why the neighborhoods at home where our stick/brick is located can't be like this?????!!!!!!!!! It would be sooooo great to know that at least once each week we would all gather on someone's patio and have a drink.....snacks....and then a supper that we all had helped prepare so that no one has to foot the bill!! SUCH a great idea!!!!! (If you don't think BIG..nothing BIG will happen)....I need to remember that, don't I?
This day was one of relaxation.......just enjoying living here in the Arizona desert.....among good friends....and enjoying this "winter weather".....and gaining a pound or two with all of the great food. A day like this.....well, this is what retirement is all about.
And with that.........you can well believe that.....
LIFE IS GREAT!!!! And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!
