Day 65: Is it summer here?????

WOW....of course, it was gorgeous today.....again. AND......it was right at 90 degrees so......on March 8th, is this summer in Arizona????

After a leisurely breakfast and Fr. Roast coffee......the 1st Lady and I jumped onto our bikes and rode for about 36 minutes...........she rode 4 miles and I continued again to ride for 5 miles. We both enjoy this.....even though today it was a bit warmer by the time we had finished.

A little later I went into town to get an oil change, fuel filter change, and air filter change. Mucho more dinero than I wanted to spend, but it is a necessary evil of owning an F350 diesel if I hope to keep it running and towing TheHowserHouse for a LONG time.

Returning to the park about 1.5 hours later.......the 1st Lady was doing some laundry at the Activity Center across the street. Returning to the rv, she was excited and talking about this lady she had met there who was sooooo out-going and how they had become acquainted while doing their clothes. Well.......it wasn't toooo much longer before she was at the door and I invited her inside.....of course.

What an interesting person.......discussing their decision to go to full-timers....and how long they had been traveling. She also discussed the Passport America plan that they have for certain rv parks/campgrounds which have really saved them some money. So we discussed this and even though I have been aware of this, I became more interested the more we discussed it and I heard from a LIVE person rather than a website......all about their enjoyment and savings they have had with this plan.

Later......Mac and Gail took us into town to eat at Chili's!!! As their guests......we enjoyed a wonderful dinner AND desert. I haven't eaten at Chili's for several years.....and this particular one had some wonderful food! WOW........it went down so easy.....and was enjoyed even more with a great Margarita which they serve. Everyone tasted it and fully agreed!!!!

We enjoyed some more time together on their patio.....and then returned to TheHowserHouse to watch "American Idol". CANNOT BELIEVE that the weakest two from the past two nights were voted to remain.....!!!!! Sabrina was terrific....and she is gone!!! OMG!!!!!

Tomorrow....we are off to Phoenix for the final time. Need to do a bit of shopping and may have time to go to a western Art Gallery in Chandler....a southern suburb of Phoenix. We made our reservations for Las Vegas.......will be at the Sam's Towne RV Park there for four nights...the 13th until the morning of the 17th when we will move on to Williams, AZ for our day tripping up to the Grand Canyon.

A gorgeous warm day......a great bike ride......an interesting house guest.....and a wonderful dinner......all help me to continue to believe that.....

LIFE IS GREAT!!!! And...I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!!
