Day 6, Tuesday: Another relaxed and beautiful day in Estes Park, CO

WOW....these mornings are absolutely spectacular!!!! All bright blue sky, the warming sun, and the beautiful mountains wherever you look........amazing!!!!

After a great breakfast of bacon and eggs in our condo.....we decided to take a walk over to the RV Park right next to us. Had a nice conversation with one of the work-campers, walked around the park to make a list of the sites we liked, and then ambled back to the condo. We just kicked back and relaxed, drank some coffee on the front porch, and then had a light lunch. Everything we do is great fun.....and we enjoy each other's company soooo much.

After lunch, we took off for the two local wineries here in Estes Park. We spent quite a bit of time in each one, enjoying the tasting experience.....and they were generous with their samples. In the first one, we had 5 different samples.....and in the second one, 6 different samples!!! Yep.....by that time we were all feeling those samples just a bit.

From there we did some window shopping, checking out some more of the little shops and stores, had a great homemade ice cream cone.....and then decided to go up to the Stanley Hotel. We checked on tours and decided we would try to get one for Thursday, but didn't make any reservations today. The hotel is well maintained and impressive with a great view, however....the lobby was just not much to write about. I think a tour might show us more....and also discuss the "ghosts" that are seen regularly there.

A bit of shopping at the local supermarket.....and then as we were headed back to the condo, we saw this large herd of elk in the middle of town.....and pulled over to get closer to them for some photos. Well......we both have plenty of pictures of elk now!!!! They were not disturbed by us walking around, snapping some pictures......and they just seemed so calm and relaxed. Two large bucks with lots of does and some little ones, also........believe there were 21 elk total! Very interesting to watch the bucks as when they got ready to move their females....they began to nudge them, pushing them forward to get them moving to "greener grass".......quite a sight, to say the least.

Returning to the condo, David and I grilled some thick steaks, mushrooms, and finished grilling some hamburgers.......and we had a great dinner!!!! This evening we really had some great times playing some board games.......the first time we have done that this week.

And sooooo, another wonderful day in Estes Park!!!!!!!!!!!! Gorgeous weather, great scenic views, and good wine and food......what more can a person desire???!!!! And...as always......

LIFE IS JUST REALLY, REALLY INCREDIBLE!!!!!!.....And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!!
