An easy trip up to Kankakee.....

Yep......we were up, loaded the remainder of the refrig items that we didn't eat for breakfast and out of F'town by 8:45 this morning. A couple of brief stops for the rest area/lunch and a $112.60 refueling stop and we arrived at the KOA outside of Kankakee at 3pm. 345 miles....with NO rain, however, the last 40 miles or so certainly provided many winds from the west and northwest which lowered the gas mileage, I'm sure. Otherwise on the first tank we got 10.9 mpg......not too bad, not too bad!!!

Only 15 minutes after we arrived, Chuck and Sue(Kansas) arrived in their Cedar Creek...the exact same unit as ours. After some hugs and a lot of talking, we let them finish getting settled....and then we all went into Kankakee for supper. Ate...and drank...at the Lone Star......and enjoyed our meal, but really, really enjoyed our conversation and the time together.

Tomorrow we will go together the last 160 miles or so over to Shipshewana, IN and join the many others who have already arrived from across the USA!! Should be a fun time!!!!!!

And sooo, this is brief because the wifi does not stretch far enough for me to pick it up in TheHowserHouse....and I currently, as I write this.....am sitting in the Laundromat in the KOA, suffocating from the dryers being on and the A/C NOT being on.....UGH!!!!! Plus there are a few mosquitoes buzzing around my sagging hulk......UGH!!!!

But......after a good day of traveling.....

LIFE IS REALLY, REALLY GREAT!!!!!!.....And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!
