Day 13: Great morning......frustrating afternoon!!

Today was beautiful........the weather could not have been any better....WOW! After breakfast, coffee, and some general visiting around the Cedar Creek area of this campground......the 1st Lady, Rachel, and I took the truck and went to the Niagara Rapids Walk. This was a short walk down close to the raging river rapids.......OMG, is that Niagara River every running fast! The rapids at this part of the river, north of the Falls a couple of miles, are quite fatal......a Class V rapids. Several people over the last 100 years or so have lost their lives attempting to either float, go by boat, etc., etc. down these furious rapids.......what a dreadful way to die!!

Then we decided to go across the River to the States. Well, that was a mistake!!!!! We sat on the bridge, in line with hundreds of other vehicles, waiting to get through passport control/immigration!!!! We sat there, inching forward little by little, for 1 hour, forty minutes!!!!!! Yep.....it was a terrible experience.....just sitting there with no way to go forward, sideways, or go back to Canada!! When we did get to the control station, we were in no mood to go shopping at Sam's Club or Walmart!!!!!!! DAMN!!! An hour and forty minutes sitting in one lane and there were eight lanes all going the same way to the states........it was miserable!!!

But, we finally got across and through passport control.....and stopped at a Wendy's for a quick bite of lunch. Then off we went to Sam's.....and then to Walmart........and neither one had some of the items we were searching for to purchase. UGH!!!!!

Then a couple of hours later, it was time to get back to the cg in Canada....and this entry was fairly smooth....only about 15 minutes. We returned just in time for the 1st Lady to get a casserole ready for the potluck dinner tonight with the other Cedar Creek RV Club members. It was a good dinner......and with several guests, it was nice to have them join us.......even from as far away as AUSTRALIA!!!!!!!

Later this evening, we had a campfire and most of the members sat around it and we had soooo many laughs and funny stories!!!! Yep......all it takes to get a few laughs is be a Cedar Creek RV Owners Club member.....and then to relate some of the weird and unexpected things that happen while rving!! WOW.....almost like watching the movie "RV"!!!!

Tomorrow..........who knows???? A couple of rigs will be leaving for home.....the Lee's from Dover, Delaware.....and the David Kesslers from Oklahoma.....and there could be more that I am not away of. I have reservations made for Toronto, Ontario, for Tues and Wednesday night....and also reservations for Cornwall, Ontario.....just a few miles from Quebec, where our very good friends, Charlie and Kathy live. We met them in the RGV this winter, square danced with them all over the valley and in Mexico....and then we were camped just behind each other in New Orleans in early April....and didn't even know it until they were about ready to head north. We are really anxious to see them.....!

Soooo......our time in Niagara Falls, Ontario, is fast coming to a close. Tonight is our 6th night here......and yet, there is still many things we would like to do and see. Oh well......there may always be another time here.....right??? A good morning.......a terrible afternoon waiting sooooo long to get into the States for a couple of hours.....and a great evening here with our friends. What could any better.....????

LIFE IS INCREDIBLY GREAT!!!!!!.....And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!!!
