We were up and going fairly early this morning........I was a bit worried that I would not be able to get TheHowserHouse around the corners with the trees there just to get out of the rv park. However.......after my Fr Roast coffee, morning rituals, and checking all eight tires for the correct air pressure, dumping the holding tanks, getting the living areas made ready for travel, bringing in the slides, un-attaching the umbilical cords, hooking up the truck to the 5er, and just making some general checkpoints that are always necessary before driving down the highways.......we pulled out of the rv park at 9am!!
On the 401 highway by 9:10......and then an hour of driving to, and through, Toronto in rush hour traffic....and by 10:15, we were out on the east side and on our way to Cornwall, Ontario......a city very near Montreal, but still in Ontario. And.....best of all.....the city where our good friends, Charlie and Kathy, spend their "at home" time. They are our friends from the RGV in Texas.....great Winter Texans, like ourselves........and whom we last saw in the KOA in New Orleans in late March!
Our trip took a bit over 5 hours.....and then we pulled into Maples RV Park....just about a mile from their home. This rv park was a bit squeezed, however, with some great turning and backing and guiding, we backed the 38 foot HowserHouse into our assigned spot and set up for the next few days!
Soon we were off to their home.....and what a wonderful evening we had with them! And, along with all of the great conversation topics.....we consumed several....YES, I said...SEVERAL....bottles of great wine!!!!! Katherine fixed a wonderful dinner......and after appetizers and vino....the dinner was just perfect. Our conversations lasted longer than dinner as we discussed our travels around the world.....and where we will each travel to later this year. It would be great to team up with them.....and see some new parts of the world......if that is possible???!!!!
And so.....tomorrow, we are off to Ottawa....the capital of Canada!!!! It will be a day trip....and then we will decide on the next day's plans. More on all of this later.......as it is, I am having to correct toooooooooooo many typing errors because of toooooooooooooooo much vino!!!!!
OH MY........
LIFE IS SOOOOOO INCREDIBLY GREAT!!!!!!!.....And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!! (Remember: Time is too short to stay in one place!!!!)
