Day 9: Niagara Falls......in the rain at times!!

Hmmmm.......the rains are here for the week!!! And, the temps are a bit low for moist weather......60 degrees was the high today, even when the sun DID peak through and bring out a bit of warmth, temporarily.

However, it was a really fun day!!!! I was up about 7:30, made my French Roast coffee, and enjoyed it while the 1st Lady and Rachel slept for a bit longer. After I made certain they were awake and stirring around, I took my coffee with me over to the site of the host of the National Canadian Cedar Creek RV Owners Club Rally....and joined some of the rest of those here for the rally that are from the USA and Canada. There are 17 rigs here from the states and several from Canada......a great group of old and newly-made friends who all own Cedar Creek RV's.

Chuck and Sue, who traveled with us from Kankakee, IL to Shipshewana and then on up here, asked if we wanted to head to the Falls together.....and we said "YES", of course. And......we had a great time today, even when the rains began to fall and we had to bring out the umbrellas. We
drove first to the Ontario Tourist Bureau Building and looked around, asked some questions, and then purchase the "Adventure Pass" which will allow us to take in a few of the boat rides, and other things for about $40.00 each......and will save us each some money. Then the 1st Lady and I exchanged some USA dollars for Canadian dollars........and since we plan to be in Canada for 2-3 weeks, at least, we went ahead and got enough to begin that kind of a trip. Our dollar only brings $.97 Canadian.........so, we are still weaker than the Canadian dollar!!!!! THANKS, George W.!!!

Then we started on the south end of the scenic drive along the Falls and river and is beautifully landscaped, but no parking places, other than for about $18.00!!!!!! So, we went into the city center and found a parking lot for $5.....and then did quite a bit of walking......and shopping....and looking.....and took lots of pictures.....and enjoyed the spectacular views of the American and the Canadian Falls!!!!! We have plans to take the "Maid of the Mist" boat ride up near the bottom of the Falls....and do a few other things tomorrow, or on Saturday if tomorrow is toooo rainy.

The Falls????? Well, they are just as I said....."spectacular"!!!! It is just amazing the amount of water that pours over these falls each second!!!!!! WOW!!! We had not been here for 31 years........ever since Jeremy was only 8 weeks old and nursing!!!!! That IS a long time ago, isn't it???? I can only imagine what these falls look like in the bright sunlight!!!!

I am going to try to get some pictures posted, however, this Wifi is sooooooooo damn slow, like a snail,.....and I hope I can get some of them on here. Last night.....well, I worked for well over an hour posting and then re-posting some of the pics as they just would not upload with the slowness of this RV Park system.

A wonderful day........even though rainy. Does that matter????? NO...not really, when there are such stunning views of the Falls.....WOW!!! And sooooo.......even in the rain....

LIFE IS INCREDIBLY GREAT!!!!!!......And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!!
