WOW....THIS is the best day of the week!!!! Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!!! WOW!
I was up around 7:30 this morning....and the 1st Lady came downstairs about 8:30.....which meant that I no longer had to move quietly and slowly so as to not "rock the boat" and wake her.
After breakfast here in TheHowserHouse, we decided to take a bicycle ride....and went south on the highway in the horse & buggy lane.....and then stopped at a couple of shops that sold yard ornaments, etc., etc. It was fun to just look around!!!! Love to do that......but sometimes I DO get VERY tired at looking at country decor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is all tooooooooooo fussy....tooooo froo-froo!! Less is more....for me when it deals with home decor........a minimalist look is my idea of perfection in home decor!!
We enjoyed the various vendors of RV products and their presentations.....and in the items they had for sale this morning. Then it was time for a light lunch.........some ham salad that we had purchased at one of the local food markets.....very good!!
Then the 1st Lady decided that we should ask Pete and Jane to accompany us on a brief shopping trip.....and before long, we were headed out of town and to a local Amish farm where the owner makes chimes for a second business. WOW....such beautiful wind chimes!!!!! The 1st Lady bought me a set of really nice ones for the upcoming Father's Day gift! Really anxious to take them out the box and put them up.....but I do believe that we are tooooo close to our neighbors here in the RV Park to let them chime in the wind!!!! Do not believe they would appreciate them as much as I do.....haha!!!
From there we went into town and once again looked in some of the shops. Pete and I became a little tired of looking at these shops filled will country decor items, so we found a coffee shop and then carrying out cups of hot coffee, went to a place that sells home made lawn furniture and sat in a swing and enjoyed people watching and sipping some good coffee!!!
Returning to the RV Park......we got some things prepared for the dinner tonnight. And soon, we were lining up to eat some of the BBQ that the club had prepared for us by a local BBQ vendor.....and then it was time for the CedarCreek Players and their annual skit. Great fun it was to do it again for this sagging hulk of me!!!!! Always enjoy doing that!!
After the business meeting, we were all able to select items from the tables......items that the RV vendors had sent to give as door prizes.....and we selected a new folding camping chair from Cabela's!!! Nice prize!!!!
Around 9pm or so, Larry Cross came over and worked on my retarded lappie......it has slowed down sooooooo much and it seems now to be working much better......THANKS LARRY!!!!!!!!!
I am sitting here after midnight awaiting a phone call from my daughter-in-law....Mike's wife....as she and our granddaughter, Rachel, are on their way here from Chicago this evening. They got a late start on the drive over here, so they are still on the road as I write........I'll will meet them at the gate to escort them to TheHowserHouse for the night. Rachel is going to go with us to Canada and Niagara Falls for the next week........so that should be really a lot of fun to show here the Falls!!!!!
And sooooooo, after another great day.......I know all too well that.......
LIFE IS REALLY, REALLY GREAT!!!!!!.........And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!!
