Day 3: FOOD...FUN...FANTASTIC Time!!!

Ahhhh......the 1st Lady and I were up fairly early as she had to bake this wonderful breakfast casserole dish for the Cedar Creek Rally breakfast. Not sure that everyone was up and were in attendance, but for those who made it.....WOW!!!! The food was terrific, there was soooo much of this terrific breakfast food.....and the fun and conversations were going strong at the early hour of 8:30AM!!!!!

Afterwards, the 1st Lady and I went up the street to the quaint little community of Shipshewana. We stopped at many of the little shops, stores, and general markets.....exploring, looking, tasting, and not really buying much of anything. But.....it was a beautiful day and it was great fun just looking at the many shops......and talking with many of the locals.

Returning to the RV Park.......we began to get ready for the afternoon/evening outing. Most of the many members had made reservations to go over to Nappanee to a place called Amish Acres. We truck-pooled over there....about 50 miles.....and then took a couple of tours around this collection of old Amish farmhouses and out buildings, a one-room school house, and other buildings from an older era in our history.

Then we went to the restaurant where we had some Amish food served family style. Ok.....I can't be honest and say it was outstanding......nope!!!! It was just average food.....and not a place I would recommend going to for a great meal. The 1st Lady and I were both a bit disappointed in the food which was served. Oh well.......can't win them all, can we???

Returning to the RV Park.......we began to gather at various RV's and enjoying an evening's drink or two. I needed my daily dosage of dark red medicine, so we went over to Larry and Cindy Cross's RV.....and sat and talked and laughed and discussed the evils of the world and our thoughts for improvements. Also got to see pictures of their newest grandson........such a cute little guy!!!!

And so.....the day and the evening sped by quickly........a laugh-filled day, stuffed with food which I didn't need, and now I am sagging a bit more than last week. However......

LIFE IS REALLY, REALLY GREAT!!!!!.....And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!
