AGAIN.....the most gorgeous day!!!! Mid-70's, bright sunshine, bright blue sky........soft breezes blowing through the palm trees.....what more can one ask for in mid-January???!!!
This morning...the 1st Lady went to one of the three laundromats here in the resort....and it was noon by the time she returned. All three are always busy.......perhaps they need another one here??? We had a very quick bite to eat.....and then joined the Porter's (Doug/Diane) and went to the Sunday afternoon square dance here in our resort.
There were four squares...and we had such a FUNtastic time!!!! For two very quick hours with soooo many laughs.....how soooo much fun can be had, it never ceases to amaze me!!!
Afterwards.....we rushed home to set out the chairs, tables, etc. on the Porter's patio.....and soon, Doug and Diane's invited guests....our sq. dancing friends plus our neighbors between us.....began to arrive. And from that time until darkness had set in.....a bit after 7pm.....the Happy Hour, the stories told, the laughter, the GREAT times, the wonderful dinner, the drinks, the coffee and dessert......and the wonderful, incredible friends with which we all have made with each other.......the afternoon/evening was just fabulous!!!! Doug and Diane from Edmunton, Alberta, Canada, Charlie and Katherine from Ontario, Canada, Dave and Jean from Ontario, Canada, Tom and Pat from Kansas, Ron and Sandy from Nebraska, Bob and Cathy, originally from Colorado but who are now "full-timers" living in the beautiful motorhome. Joining us during Happy Hour were our new friends this year.......Dylis from New York and Claude from Quebec.
I have often said this, written this..before, but when everyone is down here for the winter, the friendships bloom....and then blossom fully in to such close relationships. We have all become soooo close over the past three years that we have become like family!!!!! Several of this group are now taking about spending next winter in Arizona......including ourselves. And.....some are talking about coming to Wyoming this summer to visit us at our place in the Star Valley Ranch RV Resort for a few days...or, more!
And soooooo, this has been such a wonderful day!!!!! THIS is why we love to come to the Rio Grande Valley........the relationships we have developed which to sooooo many of you readers...it is probably very difficult to comprehend. We all have friends wherever we live......but, these relationships here are just.....different. The key??? Complete relaxation here with no responsibilities to worry about. We are FREE down here........free to enjoy each and every minute....and to enjoy these minutes together with each other!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!
LIFE IS JUST REALLY, REALLY INCREDIBLY GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!.....And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!!!!!
