WOW......it was a cool night outside last night.....but, we stayed warm and toasty inside TheHowserHouse. Believe it was 42 degrees last night for the low with winds blowing most of the night. As I always say....someone up north left the door open and this cold air made it down here....SHUT the damn door!!!
The 1st Lady was up and gone before 9am this morning......went over to her class of Tai Chi for an hour. Returning back to the rv, she found this sagging hulk of me already gone and sitting sipping coffee in Doug/Diane's motorhome. Doug was very busy putting the finishing touches on his homemade cinnamon rolls.....and, OMG, were they ever wonderful!!!!!!!!!! THANKS soooo much, Doug, for this little kickstart to the day....they were soooo good!!!!
The remainder of the morning I worked on my biography for the upcoming launch of the new former student reunion website which should be up for full viewing later this week!! Still have much to write, but then I WILL have to chop it up and condense it......already it is waaaaayyyyy too long!!!!
After lunch, the 1st Lady and I went to the fruit and veggie market for some fresh items: red bell peppers, fresh pineapple, a few carrots, tomatoes, etc., etc Then we crossed the highway to visit the Don-Wes Flea Market.....a huge complex full of everything you can think of ....that you don't need or want!!!! We were gone about two hours....before returning to the resort.
About 4:45, Diane came knocking at the door to see if we wanted to fix some more of those incredible fried tortilla sections which make such wonderful chips for salsa. She had just completed making some fresh salsa.....and, OMG....it was just fabulous!!!!!! Sooooo good!!! So, we went over to their coach, fried up some quartered tortillas and enjoyed a Happy Hour with some great wine, hot chips and salsa!!!! Sounds like all we do down here is to eat and drink......right??? Well, that is almost correct!!!
This evening we went to Pharr to a square dance. Had a good time.......and returned here about 10 pm. Our plans are to go to South Padre Island in the morning with some other friends to the SPI Annual Kite Festival........always a poplar event drawing people from all over North America to participate and/or to watch the great exhibitions!! Hope it isn't toooooo cold in the morning when we leave.
And soooo, I will refrain from making any editorial comments or writing any more as the midnight is fast approaching. As always......
LIFE IS JUST REALLY, REALLY GREAT!!!!!!.....And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!!
