Not much to write or say this evening, except that this was probably the worst day that we have had while on our winter adventure!!!! The reason is all stated above.....the nasty, ugly weather we experienced today. It just made us all sink into depression as we developed cabin fever during the day.
Many "old timers" who have spent their winters in the RGV are now saying this has definitely been the worst for ugly, dismal weather!!!! However, the bright spots for us this winter have been the huge number of times we have been able to be with our bright and cheery and warm and loving friends down here!!!!!! Without them.........well, it just would not have been nearly as pleasant and enjoyable as they have made it for us!!!!
This morning I made two trips out of the resort, once with Diane as we went to the grocery store in Weslaco. Then a bit later, I went with Doug over to Camping World as he talked with the service manager about his STILL NOT WORKING fridge!!!!
This evening the 1st Lady made a terrific pot of Tortilla Soup.....WOW!!!! The BEST part of the day here in TheHowserHouse. And.....there was some left over.....YEAH!!!!
Within the next couple of days, the website for the Howser Music Fest will be launched!!!!!!! It has been a work of unforeseen difficulties, many more hours to complete it than anyone thought......and all done by two of my former students(maybe more??) just for the upcoming reunion of all of my former students over my entire 30 year career. Exciting this is.....and excited I am!!!!!!!! As soon as it is up, I will post a link here for anyone to check out....and if you were a student of mine, you will be able to register right on the site for the reunion. The weekend schedule, my biography, album pictures of the past bands, registration info, and FAQ....of which are answered, as well as a blog for everyone to participate in!!!!
LIFE IS REALLY, REALLY GREAT!!!!!!!!!.....And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!!!
