Yep......an ugly day, chilly with winds, damp and dismal, just not pleasant. Think the highs were in the 50's....certainly didn't get much warmer than that. Just no a great day to be outside!!
We were up around 7:30.......the morning rituals completed, we had a quick breakfast with her hot tea and my Fr. Roast coffee. Then about 9:10 we drove out of the gate entrance/exit and after stopping at an ATM to get some cash......we went over to Pharr to Tropic Star RV Park. This morning there were almost 300 people there for the Wednesday morning square dance......and it was a wonderful two hours with lots of fun during those hours.
Following the dance, the 1st Lady and I went on over to Mission to the Kohl's Dept Store. Spending about two hours there doing some shopping, we then started back to the Resort, however.....we made a quick stop at Rey's Meat Market on south Salinas Street to pick up some fresh ribeye steaks and hamburger. Then.......we arrived back around 2:30pm.......and had a late bite of lunch.
Before long, Diane called and asked us to come on over and play some games. Well......the time quickly moved from late afternoon right on in to early evening.....and we didn't leave there until after 9pm!!!!!! We consumed lots of snacks and popcorn......a few drinks....and a game of Canasta, a few game of Euchre, and several games of Sequence!!! WOW......we had some great discussions about religion(s), politics, and the state of our culture here in North America. Each of our four individual opinions were respected and enjoyed........THIS is the way discussions on these topics need to be done and enjoyed!!!!! And....they will be continued!!!!
Yep....that is the the way the day went down!!!!! It disappeared quickly without a picture shot......or anything terribly exciting occurring.....an average day without any hint of a sun in the sky above. Tomorrow????? More of the same, I am afraid.....DAMN!!!!!! What happened to the wonderful weather of southern Texas??????? Hmmmm........
However, as always........optimism still reigns......and....
LIFE IS JUST REALLY, REALLY GREAT!!!!!!.....And, I hope it is for all of you, also!!!!!
